Another good SL referee on Sunday. I don't know that we've had him before, but he's getting good reviews. It should help us to get a game played at a fast pace.
I would have bet money on getting James Child - although he did prove rather helpful to us last Saturday!

My eldest son is a Sgt in the Royal Marines so let's hope this is a good omen. One thing is for sure, this guy will take no messing around or talking back. Keeping it clean and honest hard work will be what is needed this weekend from our team.

I have seen this referee a few times on tv,and I think he is a very good referee.seems to fully understand the game and uses common sense on how he makes his calls.I think he will suit us rather than Fev.

Have we not had him reffing one of our games before, did he get 'fast tracked' into Super League, Sure I've not seen him before, apart from on Sky 'Super league' games.

Thought he was pretty good yesterday, he wasn't losing contact and allowing fev to hit their fronts, for large parts of the game yesterday fev were the quicker team, poor in large parts from Leigh bit fev were outstanding Kyle Briggs was top quality yesterday

Your right, Mickey was poor but, wasn't he in good company  How did we win that game? Hansen and Maitua both had great games I was really dissappointed with Armstrong who was poor, his attempted reverse passes were shocking! Lee Smith for me in future every time! Gregg McNally has got to up his game, I hope he has learned from that mistake when he allowed a Fev player to collect the ball in front him that led to them scoring? If he had collected the ball and walked into the Fev player we would have received a penalty! Lee Smith is waiting Gregg I'd like to see Lewis Foster given a chance to provide some energy, we looked out on our feet at the end! Dont play Fui until he is 100% he's to valuable to lose long term! |

Kirkby, I thought Mick had a good game yesterday or was your comment tongue in cheek?He scored a typical Higham try and showed what Leigh mean to him by his celebration, I was very impressed with Gaz Hock as well, nowt was going to stop him scoring and again his celebration confirms how much Leigh mean to him.I agree we need Lee Smith to return, has anyone any news about him?Kirky, I was told by Frank 1 you spoke to him yesterday,I bet that was thrilling for you .

I think Mo meant to say "Mighty" and not "Mickey" referring to the referee and not our star hooker. Higham was outstanding again yesterday and as usual it all turned to 3 when he left the field.
The referee though was appalling - he looks like he's believing his own hype that Sky are giving him and just turning into yet another arrogant RFL drone!
