Yes, that will be the cost to the club in central funding if we fail to finish 6th. We only have an advantage of 17pts on Halifax who play Bradford. I am not going into the permutations but as Paul Rowley states..."Leigh look broken". 250k is a large amount at championship level and in reality it could be as much as 300k. Whichever way you look at it this could have far reaching effects into next season and Dereks pocket. I don't know what has happened as I am not a coach, but there is clearly something not quite right, what it is only the rumour mongers will know.

It shows quite clearly we don't have what it takes in the qualifiers this season to join SL.The same for the 4 SL clubs currently bottom of the SL 8's are not good enough for top 4. The qualifiers SL teams aren't good enough for SL 8's.

Its a little grey area for me these targets set...Were are they posted? The only targets I've heard this season are from PR's mouth on interviews...And sixth in Qualifiers or better wasn't one.

One of the board (can't remember who) said it at a LISA meeting before the start of the season. Beaumont also mentioned it in the LCTV video of us lifting the League Leader's shield.

I suppose with Fax playing Saturday we'll go into the game knowing what's needed. If Bradford win Wake have to beat Sheffield so that will help, would have liked to see a hybrid team v the Chemits with one eye on next season but it's a lot of money at our level to risk losing.
Of course Widnes start as total favourites and with our form it's going to be a big ask.

I wonder whether the talk of certain players joining has pushed noses out of joint for those in your current 17? The qualifiers certainly has been a disaster for Leigh, I don't think many would have predicted that you'd finish 6th let alone the possibility of 7th.

Could be 8th yet, JGR, if Sheffield and 'Fax both win or draw, and we lose at Widnes.

As for your suggestion, something hasn't seemed 'right' these past few weeks. (apart from the Sheffield game) Players will be nursing injuries, just like any other club, and there has been a definite weariness about the team. I think, with the wonderful benefit of hindsight, that our large squad could have been rotated more. For example, might young Reynolds have looked more comfortable deputising for Ridyard, had he been given more opportunity to do so, during the season?

Exactly the same is if they finish 8th and any other club in the Championship, which for 2015 was £1M. If you mean next years RFL funding it goes something like 5th=780k, 6th=750k, 7th=550k, 8th=500k
