To be honest I would rather them be doing ok and have them underestimate us. They will be looking to make amends next week and I expect them to come at us all guns blazing. They lacked any creativity tonight but they still have some brilliant players. Hill and Sims were fantastic tonight and badly let down by the rest of the team. Ratchford and Clarke are international level players and can cause even the best teams all sorts of problems.

Will be a massive ask next week but the things lacking in Wire tonight were confidence and fight. They collapsed under pressure and that isn't something we have seen from Leigh under Rowley.

I think our forwards will stand up to theirs and work just as hard but I think in terms of size they will have an edge. Hill, Sims, Westwood etc are seriously BIG lads and I think we might struggle to hold them with Clarke coming off the back of them.

On tonights performance a win isn't out of the question but we will need to play out of our skins if we want to have a chance of making the Semis.

Lot of negativity in the wire at the moment, short of a half back. That was another must win game for them and didn't happen. Not what they wanted going into CC next week.I see an upset in the making.

Well I certainly didn't see any thing to be worried about tonight,if we get quick play the ball like KR did then we are in with a chance.

I'm glad you lot are confident. To win in Warrington's own back yard will take some doing.

Warrington have been inconsistent the last 2 years. Said when we drew them they could have an off day and we could win, also they could click and beat us easy. Have to wait and see, just a week now.

Being at home is too much of an advantage.

Lets enjoy the day, enjoy the beer , fill the stand and hopefully watch the boys score a few tries.

Unfortunately, I feel they will score more.

Another agreed here Ant.

In fact I will go further.

We - WON'T - win.

As I have said before, this is a bridge too far IMHO.
An off form Salford at the LSV with confidence issues & seemingly other issues too is one thing, Wakefield away was a cert, but this is unlike any other fixture this season.

Wire will just be too strong, too skilled.

My hope is that Leigh just play strong, smart, hard & fair & give the best account of themselves & Championship RL they can give.
If they do that, then us Leigh fans will enjoy the day regardless of the result.

To add to this, I now think of the CC as an unwelcome distraction for the club, with the fixture list backing up & the importance of the Middle 8's being of far greater importance.

Having said all of that, I will probably lose my voice on the day & will shout the boys on all the way, that will never change.

Salford weren't off form at the time, they were the form team in Super League doing very well up in 4th place, it was only after the Leigh game the wheels fell off.

Agree though Warrington are a step above & should win it easily but as I've said it's not impossible with their inconsistency. Does rely on them having an off day though in my opinion.

IF we beat Warrington then the cup could become a distraction, as it stands we're top of the league, almost certain of a top 4 finish, highly likely for a top 2, so long as that keeps up it doesn't really matter as points are wiped and we begin again in the Qualifier Super 8 so it's not a distraction at the moment.

Did anyone see The Super League show last night? They had Ashton Sims from Wire on and it sounds like they haven't even thought about us yet! I know there's still 5 days till the game and it could all be mind games but still. A couple of times he talks about how they need to improve in the league then remembers Saturday's game & looks all flustered and doesn't know what to say. Asked about Leigh & he says something like "They're a good side with good players like Hock & Moimoi." Yesss but they're our big name signings, interesting you didn't mention McNally, Kes, Riddy & Kay who'll be the ones really testing your notoriously weak defence. If he's representative of them all and they don't do a lot more homework we could very well win this!

Can anyone tell me how much the tickets are for the match at the HJ on Saturday please?

We'll be going regardless but I need to get some prices beforehand if possible.

Preview for Saturday, getting excited for it now!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIfCCiIyDMg

Think this will be a step too far but it isn't impossible! If we play at our best we will give ourselves a chance. We just need the Wire that played HKR to show up and not the one that beat Leeds!

If we do go out then the upside is that it avoids even further problems with rearranging matches for our already congested fixture list. 2 mid week matches already leading up to the 8's is going to be tiring enough at the most important part of the season without adding another!
