| I honestly feel that it could be now or never for the club.
We had a fantastic season last year and the start to this season has exceeded expectations. We're watching fantastic players playing with pride and 100% commitment in the shirt. We've also got, IMO, super league quality players in Armstrong, ridy, brierley, beswick, moi moi, Barlow and hock to name just a few. With rowley we are playing fast exciting/attractive rugby. It's the best Leigh team that I have seen in twenty years.
We also play in a fantastic ground that is the envy of a lot of professional clubs.
With the new structure and with going full time we're in a great place to challenge in the middle 8s and hopefully achieve our goals of super league.
The current board are working hard and the club is the most professional than I've ever known in recent times. Plus they're, or now it seems Derek is putting his cash in to take the club forward.
For me this is now the time for every leyther to stand up and be counted. If you want a class side, to be watching the best Leigh team possible, to compete in the 8s and have any chance of promotion and securing our place in sl then we have to get more people down to the lsv to get hooked.
We've had some great attendances this year and I'd say we've had 4 or 5k leythers at a few games - Bradford, London and Salford. Let's make sure they come to the batley game. Bring your family and friends, get them a ticket and hopefully if they enjoy it they'll come back.
For the sake of the club, more bums on seats make a financially healthier club, and to show the players and board that we're buying into the club too bring anyone you can to the next couple of home games!

| You are preaching to the converted on here, you would be better taking a soap box round the town, particularly the pubs.

| Success promotes attendance. It's a very simple formula, you keep winning both home and away. And the rest will come naturally.

| In the last month or so three people have said to me, “It feel’s as if I’m just jumping on the bandwagon” I’ve said to them all but this is what we need now for more people to come and support the club.”
So how many other people are there in the surrounding areas who aren’t coming because they also feel like that and are afraid to test the water? And how do we stop new or returning fans from feeling that way?

Just tell then that the club needs as many bums on seats as possible. Everyone knows RL in general needs more fans too. It always has.
Leigh have the potential to drag in fantastic crowds. The entire set-up is geared towards SL.

| O.k, this might upset a few but shouldn't.
We are living in very difficult times, while some people are doing great thank you very much, others are suffering financially.
Let me give you my example, 4 years ago I could afford to go to every game home & away (but work commitments would never allow this).
Even with our exciting & talented team & the growing atmosphere & "I must be there" feel good factor of the Club, over the last 2 years I have had to pick & choose which games I attend, inevitably this is going to be the biggest most exciting fixtures.
A 5 year pay freeze & cuts means both my job & my Mrs are not secure, we earn less but bills are higher than ever & we have a 3 year old to put first.
I would love to be a season ticket holder & to buy my friends & family tickets, but for many in these times this is just not realistic. I have in fact done just this, but 3 & 4 years back when the team was not nearly as good.
I feel we/the Club are missing a trick here.
Just down the road we have the largest town in Britain, Bolton.
Bolton currently have a very poor Football Club & a large Asian community that have not been engaged with.
The net needs to be cast much further afield IMHO, engage different areas & communities, give away hundreds of free tickets to schools in places like Bolton, it may work, it may not, but what I am talking about is long term building, not flash in the pan, but sustained growth.
Leigh Centurions have been great this year, the Media team have been very proactive, we have ITV/Granada in board etc, the buzz & interest in Leigh RL is immense, but it must continue to grow.
So buy a ticket for a mate or family member if you can afford to, but the club also should continue the great work already started.

I always thought Bolton was the largest town in Europe!!
I don't see Wigan calling themselves a very poor Football club, given the possible life line they have just been thrown.
If your in a position to buy a season a ticket ie: football, rugby or whatever sport, the choice is yours.Either way if you don't turn up,your still supporting the club.

| It's not just about buying tickets. It's doing everything you can- like the clubs posts on Facebook, retweet the clubs tweets, spread the word when out and about in Leigh etc.
If you cant buy a mate a ticket, go when you can and buy a half time draw, magazine, lctv subscription.
But if you can't afford to spend anymore then just do your best promoting the club.
It would be disappointing to have less than 3k tomorrow. When the football season finishes and in the 8s I expect the attendances to increase but it's up to every supporter, it's in all our interests, to get more people involved.
People often talk about the chicken and egg situation - more crowds equal a better team but currently we have a great team. It must be the easiest time to convert someone to be a Leigh fan. We've also had a great performance on sky and will hopefully back it up on the bbc.
The players are doing all they can as are the board. Now it's up to each and everyone of us to support the club in any way we can.

I thought that's what everyone was doing unless my medication is to strong.

| 3,036 attended today,which is excellent.
i can only see them steadily rising even further as the season progresses, must be on course for a 4-5,000 season average.
