Quote: serious breaches of team discipline "Championship side Leigh Centurions have signed prop Gareth Hock on a two-year deal after the 31-year-old left Salford on Monday following his latest disciplinary problem.
He is currently serving a six-game ban for twice using his knees against opponents in Salford's 52-6 defeat by St Helens on 12 February.
The Wigan-born player was also expelled from the England squad before the 2013 World Cup following "serious breaches of team discipline".
He received a seven-match suspension in 2014 for making deliberate physical contact with a referee in Salford's match against Hull, and was given five-match and four-match bans for committing similar offences in 2008 and 2013.

| I hope it works out for you guys, but Leopards and spots come to mind. Maybe your management have got him on a pay him per match he plays, he pays the club for every game he isn't available? I reckon you could make money on that deal  |

just read this on the beeb and having read all your comments on the various threads its amazing how all the comments remind me of the salford threads 2 years ago...
i would love him to cut out the crap and play rugby, but at 31 hes got to be to old to learn. fingers crossed for you guys.
PS good job you didnt sign him sooner! the bulls game was "tasty" enough without adding hock to the mixture

I have my reservations, who wouldnt with his record. However i trust in rowley. I just hope, 1 we have not paid him a fortune, 2 if he steps out of line we can get rid without costing us. I hope he proves me and many other doubters wrong.

Derek makes a valid point with Gareths on field performance,when you are trying your heart out to beat the opposition,but still getting spanked your frustrations get the better of you in the heat of battle,hence the indiscretions.Hopefully in a winning environment we will see the talent he certainly has will come to the fore.He has a clean sheet at Leigh,and i wish him all the very best,and he helps to get us to where we want to be.

Well Penkys been banned before for steroids, Aspinwalls done time.... not exactly the smartest group, so he'll fit in perfectly....
I think Rowley being one of the lads will help him, he doesn't seem to like rules and coachs / owners who dictate too much
