Top player and a loss for us, he had a suspected broken hand after the Keighley game didn't he? Hope he's back soon. Still I've always felt sorry for Johnny Pownall, a really good player who's done well for us in the past but can't get in the team for Higson & Kay, guess now's his time to show us what he can do.

Pownall certainly looked very sharp in the pre season when he played. I also thought Pitman (especially in defense) and the young lad who scored in our second pre season game (sorry can't remember his name) could also be in the frame.
