Without any disrepect to anyone, the press release says it all. He turned down full time to play part time.
A part time anyone ( especially a 33 year old) is not going to replace anyone in this team. Good luck to him and Fev though.

On several other threads 99% of Leigh fans are saying how impeccable Rowley's judgement is - how come everyone is suddenly saying that Rowley's judgement is now flawed? (If the story is correct?)

Sykes may have been offered a short term contract at Leigh I don't know but reading the Fev press release I think it's more of a case of Fev trying to say Worthington has made the wrong choice.
We have to remember Yorkies are far more gullible than us posh folk on the west of the Pennines. So it cheers their fans up.
Anyways we will see who has made the right decisions in the next few months.I am content that PR knows his RL so that will do me.

Have a word with Paul or Derek they will tell you that agents and players are contacting them on a daily basis if Sykes has been 'spoken to' then so be it no dramas it wouldn't be the first time a player has 'talked up' his dealings to get a better offer.
