Slightly of topic I know (rugby) but can any of my learned friends at Leigh answer the following.

Tomorrow evening myself and a Niece are going to the Elton John concert, our tickets were booked months ago.
Now another Niece has decided she wants to go and the odd tickets is still available from Ticket Master close to were we are, I was wondering if due to the short notice the tickets would be available to pick up at the Leigh Ticket Office, cheers.

That's what it says on ticketmaster and Elton confirmed that tonight over a beer in the Brittania

Thanks for the offer Alex but I managed to sort another ticket to pick up at the office mid day today.

74 years old yesterday and going to my first rock concert, I hope nobody wants to sit on my shoulders.

Amazed this concert hasn't sold out. Doesn't bode well for the LSV in attracting promoters to use the stadium for other concerts in the future.

I'd say I'm not surprised, there's always a few straggling tickets left and I'd be surprised if it's anything more than a few hundred less than a complete sell-out.

You are correct, there will be a lot of "I was there" people along with the fans and locals.

There are less than 100 tickets left and that is brilliant,so no worries about the LSV having similar events.
Looking forward to a great night , last time I saw Elton Johnwas 1984 in New Zealand, thankfully my head of hair has fared better than Eltons.

I'll be there not because I'm a fan, but simply because its an event in my home town, and by supporting it, hopefully if its a success then there'll be other events.

Should be good for the local economy. As like me I bought some 'glow' in the dark glasses just for the occasion. from the pound shop.

Only a small number left which is excellent because not often does elton sell out these days.
