Sad to hear this news Dave is a nice lad and I felt he was the right age and had the vision and enthusiasm to take East forward from the dealings I had with him.

poisoned chalice if you ask me! just hope he can attract some players back because 12 training for 2 teams last week was woeful! Also coincidence that the forum has been down since Dave Radleys news? seems every time the hits the fan it seems the chairman gets the forum cut off!
I know the ingredients the club needs to restore the clubs 1st team back to former glory but its a pity some of the committee members choose to bury there heads in the sand still, sad times.

A nice lad Dave Radley and I feel sorry for him as I really wanted him to do well. A decent player as well was Dave and once on Halifax's books.
Personally I have not been down to watch a game since the Skirlaugh debacle. Deary me there are some very big ego's sitting around that committee table.

Cant understand why the current committee dont want Janet Pendlebury and Keith Latham when they have both publicly stated that they dont want to be on the committee they just want to help out, what is the problem? These 2 would make a difference and give support to whoever is selected to be head coach.
In 3 years we have gone from being a competitive club both on and off the field with a business model that most other clubs envied to a club that now applies a levy over and above what teams take in subs, has no video of games and no physio on game day, this stinks of pub rugby! come on committee put egos to one side and pick the phone up!

Feel for Dave. Really nice guy who genuinely wanted to kick start a revival of the first team but can't do it by himself.
I hope he stays involved in the game because he's too good of a man, ex player and coach to lose all together.

I donated a video camera to the club last season all that is required is for someone to climb up on the gantry and do the business, I'm just sorry my commitments at Miners and The Centurions rule me out to assist, but it isn't rocker science and I am quite willing to give a volunteer a few free 'pointers'.
