THE BEST MONEY I'VE SPENT. Just watched the full Haven game and what struck me was the shape of the team throughout the game, the speed of the guys retreating to an onside position after tackles and supporting / backing up each other in general play. I am seeing different plays for different teams and it's a joy to watch, especially as last season I was a little concerned at to Pauls ability to adapt to different opposition . Well the combination of these players and this coach certainly looks a winning combination and win lose or draw the prospect of playing the likes of Fev, Fax, The eagles and this season Dewsbury are mouth watering.

It also gives a different perspective on the game especially at home games as most spectators at the LSV are either watching the game from end on or the 'other side' from us in the gantry.

I love to say this but I think we are the best team in the league and I know it's early days but I have never seen them play with so much confidence and flair. It's so exciting to watch.

About 6 mins into the game Stu passes inside to Kes and the ref imo blows for the forward pass that wasn't' before it is passed I keep having a look and am sure the ref got it wrong. What does anyone think if they where watching from the West stand ?

What about Doran who was so far offside in the first half for a Haven kick that the ref just gave a scrum down ? Ref really had a bad day imo.

This Leigh side is the best for 30 seasons I posted after the Batley game and I still think it is.

Expect our following to Keighley on Sunday will show that a lot of Leythers agree.

Initial thought from my vantage point in the West Stand, was that it was forward, and the ref was in line with it. However, I was still finishing my prawn butty, and may have been distracted, in trying to prevent the marie rose sauce dripping onto my trousers.

We were pulled for a number of forward passes on Sunday, and I don't remember having too much argument with them. However, I'm always intrigued that the opposition appear far too disciplined to ever chuck the ball forward!

I used to like eating prawns then a couple of months ago a mate in Manchester told me he had watched a TV prog about prawn farms in the far East and it showed that prawns had their eyes removed so they would breed faster.

Can't eat them now Alan and that is why I go in the North Stand.

In the cause of friendship and not wishing to offend anyone, you'd be welcome in our part of the West Stand (South) Frank, any time. It's full of discerning, if somewhat quiet Leythers. A word of warning though - depending on which box Charlie is hob-nobbing in, you could be bombarded with sausage rolls, or whatever the folk in 'the Gods' are eating!

Hopefully we've got a few more bits coming up soon. Plans are in the pipeline to interview a few more people but I would love to chat to fans about their memories about Leigh. This would be a case of bringing history to life as I feel that everyone could tell a story. This could be filmed or just audio recorded.

Obviously I would like to speak to more former players too with these interviews being released later in the year after certain plans have come to fruition.

There is NO Hospitality for the Pats game because its classed as a Pats home game , the Wigan Carolis wanted a Box for the game , I inquired and was told No hospitality a shame really .
