Just seen that Ryan Brierley has become the 1st player in Leigh Rugby history to have scored 3 hat tricks in 3 consecutive games! Massive congratulations to him, playing brilliantly along with everyone, if this keeps up we'll be unstoppable this season.

Ryan is in a great period of form currently and certainly from the yearbooks I've looked at thus far, I've not seen anyone score with such regularity at the start of a season. That said I've not gone as far back as Edwards/Offiah/Hanley yet.... As for his Leigh career, he is now on 61 tries for the club and nudging his way up club rankings

Yeah looks like the great Brian Bevan managed four consecutive games on two different occasions. Even to match that would put Kes him alongside RL royalty!

If he only scores 2 against Keighley, he'll be dropped.

If he hits the posts from the touchline again he wants dropping, ruined an otherwise ok performance.

56 tries in the season is that Neil's record? (albeit for a full back?) (did it include his try for Lancashire too?) I never thought that would be beaten but Ryam's "on course" for it at the moment. He'd have to average just over 2 tries a game in 26 league games. Not including any cup games.

How many did the Aussie in the 80s Steve Halliwell (was it?) get. I seem to remember all the players passing to him for the last few games of the season to get him to score tries.
