| With just over a week to go , what to you think the score will e?
How many will attend and what team would you pick to start ?
I'd go with Wigan to actually beat us this time 34 16
Crowd 3900
I'd would pick These player as some of the team aren't fit yet !
Mc nally
Armstrong
Littler
AJ
Brown
Kay
Brierley
Barlow
Penky
Emmitt
Golden
Aspinwall
Wilkes
All rest if fit on the bench

| Definitely out is Michael Ostick spoke to him today he has had his ops but the diagnosis is that he may be out until part way through March, Penky is also not yet fully training.
Jamie Acton has only just restarted full contact so he and Finnigan are also doubtful as is Matt Gardner.
Watched the guys in a full contact half game this morning V the u20's, they looked pretty sharp especially Steve Maden who has trained the house down and is looking really fit and strong and has sent out a warning with his attitude and efforts thats why Rowls has given him the number 2 shirt, A J looked good coming onto the ball Liam Kay and Riddy looked good and Kes and Greg in their stints from full back looked keen and sharp.
Ollie, Spence, Duffy, Barlow and Emmitt are going to be a handful this season ably supported by Thornley, Tommy G put in his usual great effort but IMO the surprise package this season will be young Sarsfield, he takes the ball in strong runs some great lines and tackles well, Aspinwall looked his usual strong self, Bob Beswick was his usual tower of strength and focus and put the team around the ground from hooker.
Mick Govin played with the u20's team and showed he has lost none of his deft touches and looked eager as did the rest of the u20's squad, Ando has done a great recruitment drive this year and the u20's should be a treat to watch this year again.
Paul Rowley has come into some criticism so far re the size of the squad which is rather unfair as it will be a long hard season and we are bound to come under some pressure re injuries and the only answer to that is a strong large squad with a nice balance of players which IMHO this year we have plus some will take part in the u20's games and it all makes for good competition for places and should keep every one keen and give the coaching staff the opportunity to rest players thereby allowing them to recover from the odd knock or two.
I never make predictions but this should be a good game even if Wigan do send a 'weakened team' though they are blessed with a plethora of talented players who wont get near their first team this season so any team they do send will be strong, bring it on I for one cant wait having seen the effort our guys have put into practice in pre-season this year, all of them are busting a gut and really looking forward to the season starting.
What I will say is get down next Sunday you will not be dissapointed and if for whatever reason you cant come then the alternative will be Leigh Centurions TV who will be showing the recorded game starting Wednesday 22/1/14 with full match commentary by Dave plus guests, so join LC TV for £3.50 per month or £32 per year.

For my money, the biggest problem we have faced in the past couple of seasons, has been not having enough bodies, so that there's been nothing in the tank, at the end of the season.

| Thanks for that Fred. I can't wait for next Friday and Sunday. Did the young Australian lad play? With Mick Govin and Bob Beswick at hooker I think we will be fine untill Penky is fit. That pack sounds awesome and the backs Martyn, Liam, Kes and whoever from the 20's coming through sounds mega. Steve Maden is a legend now at this club for me. The hairs are sticking up on my neck and arms I'm that excited.
