| I was chatting with Annette today, I said I hadn't seen her around the Club recently. She worked in the office as Commercial Manager, (she had previously been the Lottery Manager) I think she said she had been there for 17 years at Hilton Park and then the Sports Village. She was always a keen and enthusiastic employee who organised all hospitality upstairs including pre match stuff and also the end of the season Presentation Night at the Park Inn, plus a 'million' other things.
She left apparently because of a clash of personalities. She wouldn't elaborate but she said she left, and within two days her name was removed from the list of officials of the Club within the programme and web site, but not a single comment about her efforts for the Club has appeared in any publication since.
Surely everyone gets a mention after that kind of service but apparently not Annette. People will know that her mum May Brooks (married to former player Brian Brooks) had worked as cleaner. washer woman and general dogs body for 'teens' of years at Hilton Park and I still enjoy reading the tribute the Club gave her when she retired. Its a pity Annette's efforts for the Club were not recognised in the same way, a single line in the match day programme would have been suffice.
Whatever the circumstances of her leaving, she wasn't prepared to comment and 'dig dirt' as she put it. I didn't even know she had left, its a shame she wasn't recognised in some way.
Everything is going so well at the Club its a pity these unnecessary happenings keep interfering with our 'family'.

| Annette's position/name was removed from the list of 'Who's Who' in the programme, for the second home game of the season, against Doncaster, in February 2013. She had been absent from the club, for some time before that.
Just as Annette deemed it inappropriate to make public the reasons for her departure, it would be equally inappropriate, in my opinion, for the club to publicise them. Given that, it was decided not to mention it in the match day magazine.
She had put in many loyal years of service at the club, often 'flying solo' in a very demanding position.

| The last sentence from Alan's post "She has put in many loyal years service at the Club, often fling solo in a very demanding position" would have been all it needed in the match day programme. Alan's comments do suggest she had done something wrong, unless he didn't word it as he planned. Annette was of work for several weeks with a stress related illness before eventually taking her letter of resignation to the then Chairman Keith Freer. At the next home game her name had disappeared from the who's who, with no explanation.

I am NOT suggesting Annette did 'anything wrong' at all. I am merely saying that, just as Annette chose not to comment, then it would not be appropriate for the club to comment either. I was told in February, that Annette was no longer employed by the club. At that time, and for some time afterwards, it would not have been right for either party to comment.

| An employee gives good service, then leaves and is thanked for her valuable service to the Club, that's all it needs. People apparently still phone the club and ask for Annette, not knowing she has finished.

You seem to take great delight in bringing negative news to the public domain, first Regarding Brian Bowman on Friday and now this.
I know Brian Bowman personally and in fairness he wasnt just an employee but in my opinion and figure of legendary status in the town and i was genuinely upset to hear he was upset by a desision of the BOM and felt compelled to do something about it but with the best will in the world I fail to see what this has to do with the club now in August 2013 under the new and current administration?
My only dealings with Annette were purely as a sponser and I have to say she always looked after me to the best of her ability. That said the new commercial team and Rob Parker are taking this aspect of the buisness to new heights and to a different level now as you will all see come the launch of our sponsorship and commercial properties over the next few months.
Regards
Andy

| I would just like to say that I did the lighting for three players nights and several other events with Annette and miss it now. When Bradders left it was all left to her. She was a joy to work with and I hope she is ok. Top bird. Bonkers though.

| Message for Andy. The Brian Bowman story was negative, but very real, for a bloke to turn his back on the Club after 65 years + is serious - How long did you think the story would survive outside the public domain, people are talking about it all over Leigh as we speak. I'm not sure why you thought the Annette story was negative, she gave 17 years service to the Club, left, but didn't get a mention or a "sorry to see you go" message either on the Clubs site or in the programme. It was not intended to have a go at the present BOM, on the contrary I think they are doing a super job for the club and the fans, but the Annette story has only just come to light, her departure from her position was under the previous regime. People now know she has left, nobody knows the reason nor do we want to know.
The BOM will come across plenty of negative problems as you go about your business - it is to be hoped the positive stories outweighs the bad ones.
