Finished 34-20 to Keighley with a couple of late tries.

Higson played most of the game, Govin went off just before half time with what looked a bicep injury.

Leigh were leading 16-0 early on but fair play to Keighley for coming back in to it. A deluge in the second half made it a bit of a lottery at times.

Sean Long in the crowd, make of that what you will.

Oh, and a fiver to get in(!), make you realise what great value you get at home U20 games for just £2.

A close game, Sheffield's defence completely nullified Batley for most of the game.

Any Leigh players that look like they might be able to step up or get a bench spot over the coming months or is it still a work in progress / early days ?

Joe Bullock but he's a contracted Wigan player, he was 18th man the other week though.
There are more than a couple of players who have played Ok all season but a bad night at the office tonight.

Hope Govin's not got a torn bicep muscle if he has we won't see him for a while.

Not a question to Fred direct but it was a question I was asked this week and I must admit I'm not sure of the answer, does anyone know how many RL players Leigh Centurions actually has (I don't mean those on DR from Wigan as they are essentially Wigan's players - I mean just pure Leigh Centurions players) ?

Not that easy as there are contracted players and contracted players (different contracts for u20's/reserve team

Our under 20's are very entertaining to watch. I am surprised more don't go as you can always tape Star Trek and watch it when you get home.

Just watched it Fred. Even though we lost it was a very entertaining game from both teams. Had the ball stuck a few times I think their heads would have gone down but Keighley played very well in awfull conditions. If anyone is worried about wingers at this club worry not. Young Hill and Pitman are looking very good. Don't know if Pitman is a Wigan player though but both had solid games.
