Hi
I've uploaded an old Leigh V Eagles game from 1991 to a certain video sharing website

It's a full broadcast of a programme called Sportscast and the image quality is quite good (for the time!), and there's quite a lot of close ups of players and you can clearly make out fans in the background too at various points.
At the 51 minute mark on the first video, there's also highlights of a game you played at Rochdale just before this game. The video had to be done in two parts due to the file size.

Brilliant stuff.
A blast from the past to the days of what mattered on the pitch (rightly) being of the most importance in Rugby League.
Sheffield became our main rival around this time and remember some absolute cracking games at Hilton Park and at Don Valley.

Was at the Rochdale game very wet that night at Spotland if I remember rightly.
Remember that game for Neil Cully badly breaking his leg. |

Was it the year before East ran Bradford close at HP and gave them a real scare?
Tommy Hayes featured in that Sheffield clip didn't he come from East with Gunning and Dainty?? What's great team East had then.
Was at both the Bradford and Chorley games Timmy Fletcher on the wing was cousin of my best mate didn't he also have a spell at Leigh? |

I can`t remember those games being shown LIVE on terrestial TV but seeing as Satellite was in its infancy, it could`ve been screensport or BSB. |

I heard Adawande had signed for Warrington but I do not know how true. He is certainly an exciting player with bags of pace.
Nicky Ratcliffe I rate highly.
I have not ventured down to East of late though. It's a different atmosphere these days and the actions from some on the clubs commitee well, actually I better leave it there.

Young Nicky Ratcliffe is my nephew and he was on Leigh books (schoolship) but when they did any with us having an 18s team he was released, shame no ones scouted him from Leigh since though, hes a hooker and very good.
