Last week Derek was our savior but this week he is not getting involved at all! What went wrong? I thought that with the energy of Andy, Maurice and Derek a new positive dawn was on the horizon. Have we got a way forward or pardon my french, has it all gone tits up! Or maybe it's just the rollercoaster of Leigh Centurions

I guess theres no money worries this week and for the next two or three weeks after that

I read Keith Freer's statement on the official site and'for now' I will go with that.

Last Saturday I was in Leigh to watch the Miners and stopping off for a pint before the game a bloke said to me I see Leigh have gone into liquidation.

I will be in the Bowling Green today before I go to watch our under 20's and I have no doubt someone will tell me Koukash is giving up on Salford packing in his horse racing interests and taking over at Leigh Centurions a week on Tuesday.

I Understand it is frustrating but some real positive efforts being made behind closed doors hopefully something may become clearer in the coming week.

Derek's very kind gesture secured the immediate future of our great club and he's also assured everyone of his full support going forward. Both myself Maurice and others are prepared for the challenge so rest assured nobody has lost intrest or walked away at this stage.

You know my feelings towards community spirt and fan inclusion so it's vital every single one of us is ready for a new dawn as its hopefully not far away.

Thanks Andy, most fans do appreciate the effort that you and the guys are doing. It would be great to sort the financial woes out and have a real comminity club. Despite all the doom and gloom I have a feeling that we will get there....one day!

Leigh is a RL town they can take away factories, pits, train stations etc but the RL club will never die to many great people far to many to name here but with the wider community involved and some new commercial impetus andnfinance on board this club will go forward.

If we pull together and get past short term pain then we all stand together UNITED as one and aim high.

These things take time if you want to get it right. Derek and Andy bought time with their generosity but it didn't stop fans having a pop at them, alleged fans that is because I can't understand real fans taking cheap ashots when folk are putting cash up front.
Financial investigation takes time but we have one of the best on the job and I am more confident this week than last a way forward is not far away

Thanks to Andy and Maurice, for the info. It's natural for folk to be concerned when there's no 'official' news. However, this is one instance where confidentiality is a must, until the details have been thrashed out. It has to be re-assuring that people who care, are trying to sort this one out. Whilst some very good people have been trying to stabilise the club, it has become apparent that more effort and funding is necessary to complete that stabilising process AND move the club forward.

Mo as you know i can be serious when i want to be , i respect your views , and hope you are right , i want only what is best for Leigh Centurions , i have no money to invest ,but i try to give as much time as possible to help the Club , and will continue to do so , but we do need some news soon , to keep us going .

Charlie all I can say is please keep going as like Mo says far more cause for optimism now and while there are many hurdles to get over have we have the right people on board trying to make it happen.

The things you and other volunteers do are so so important so well done and keep going head down.

I personally think its better to release facts when they are concrete rather than hopes that can go wrong, Keith released an update based on reality and I am sure will continue to do so
Not long ago someone released a fact that I had secured a main sponsor for the shirt, I hadn't but I was talking to someone but it fell through. I found out about it online. Wouldn't it have been better to say nowt until the ink was on the contract?

Over the years we have been duped too many times.People need to confidence to invest blind faiths seen us skint after skint

The actual investigation of the financials does not take long it's the gaining access to them and subsequent analysis that takes the time.

I understand it's not easy to trust that's why I have been keen to express my feeling that new blood is required so trust can be gained and suspicion of the past be laid to rest.

Due diligence is one thing financial investigation is another

And both are subject to confidentiality.
