Why is this guy hanging around.

Beaumont seems to be keeping this guy on onboard and not firing him off again why?? Listening to GMR last night he ain't going anywhere which won't entice professional people looking for a blank canvas to go at will it??

As fantastic a gesture last sunday was by Derk in meeting the shortfall in wages (freer intimated its just a cash flow issue so has Del Boy loaned SCL the money or donated it???) surely it's time to get rid once and for all of not just Freer but the past and bring in some new people with new ideas.

I've read over last few weeks some great ideas on fan interaction and community ownership and seen some real enthusiasm and hope but now Beaumont has waved a few i hope bob it's not going to be same old same old with the rowleys and others rearing ugly heads once again but fear it will be same old same old.

Least with Derk back we can get a bit of coverage on GMR

Trevor Barton gave 2 solid years Free of Charge to Leigh Centurions Alan Rowley has sat watching them struggle not willing to do anything for nowt despite being a 10% share holder just sums up the difference in moral fibre to me that.

I now fear new blood and new ideas won't ever make it to the fore as it seems the hangers are still hanging on.

I see is a proven professional that is giving their time for free to our club. Whilst I'd like to see someone more experienced in charge, I don't see how anything Keith Freer has done at Leigh Centurions deserves the names you have labelled him with.

I agree, But it is time for change.

No need for abuse and personal insults the guy has shown a commitment to the club in tough times.

That said my personal belief is in order for the fans to buy into a new exciting future it would need to be a complete new ragime not just a pack shuffle with a few generous local buisnessmen throwing a few bob in to keep it alive.

I doubt Mr. Freer is hanging around for the 'fun of it' or the glory etc.

Absolutely no great fan fan of Mr Freer but equalby I think anyone (staff or volunteers) who have helped keep the club going over the last two years should be thanked not ridiculed.

As far as new investors my old mum had a good old Westleigh saying hes all ' p$ss and wind', lets hope the the investors can deliver what they state they can do on this forum.

Well what an interesting initial post on this thread.

I remember a meeting at the MM bar at our last crisis. As soon as I listened to him I realised he's a guy of substance.

I have never met him one to one but have heard him speak at fans forums.

For me I would rather he be on board rather than not.

All I will say is the only way to beat the old tap room rumours and mentality is to sweep the whole place with a new broom.

Idealistic yes but guilty by association unfortunately is something any existing or previous directors or shareholders will suffer from.

Ive heard from many sources this week "Beaumont is back and Beaumont has rescued Leigh" etc etc, this is what happens when you jump on a microphone in a public place and announce the second coming.

I have absolutely nothing to say about the original post but like Ian posted on another thread, it fills me with dismay what is being said and what some people are trying to get off the ground, the second this club has a financial blip. Who the fluff thinks that they can step in and takeover the board with a weeks notice? None of you. You will just drag the club even deeper into the grip an mire. I am gobsmacked.

I think that's why people have been working quietly in the background to build and submit a proposal for wider approval. and not jumping up and waving money about, Don't doubt the quality and skills of people looking at this problem.

Fred Goodwin AKA Fred the Shread left should have been sacked' too late imo. RBS will be worth a bit for investors if you can afford to invest for 18 months. 40% increase and if you don't believe me you could save this post.

Was everyone employed by RBS culpable ? Of course not.
