| One of our members Alan Bailey passed away on Wednesday, he was a LISA member, season ticket holder and lifelong fan. When I have details of the funeral I will post it on here and if anyone wants to pay their respects they can do.

| I didn't recognise the name, but the face brought back who he was.
Another great Leyther watching from the stand in the Sky, RIP Alan.

| The name didn't ring any bells, but the photo sure did. I enjoyed many friendly chats with Alan and am saddened to hear of his untimely passing. My condolences to his family at this sad time.

Same here. I recognise Alan from LISA meetings over the years, where his passion for Leigh RL was always in evidence.

| Hi, I'm alan's daughter, my mum & dad have followed Leigh for over 60 years. As children we have been brought up with Leigh being part of our lives. In the 80's mum & dad went door to door collecting for the club. 2 years ago they celebrated their golden wedding, guess where - LSV. They went to Australia following rugby. Dad even went to Wembley while mum was expecting me in 71. All the grand children understand the game even that we don't live in rugby land. To say Leigh rugby was in everything my dad did was an understatement. The forum opening a new channel for dad and although he never posted on here, he read every article and then spread the news. Thank you for that. Dad's final visit to LSV was on Friday when we where touched with the people paying their respect. We will be their next season cheering Leigh on as a family, just missing dad. For the record leigh's best player was John woods in dad's view but he could tell many stories. Thank you to all, Rachael.

| Today has just become a doubly sad one for me having just read about Wayne Keegan's death and now finding out Alan has passed away too.
I often sat with Alan at LISA meetings and afterwards, seeing him waiting for his bus back up to Over Hulton, happily offered him a lift to make sure he got home okay (okay, yes, and to have a good chat with him too as it was always a pleasure to do so!).
Alan and his family regularly stood by us and it was clear that Leigh RLFC meant the world to them all. I'll never forget the pride and huge beaming smile both he and his Wife had when their young Grandchild made his 1st visit, suitably, outfitted in a mini Leigh shirt. If smiles could say a thousand words than those ones would be novels!!
His sad death will be felt by a great many people and, although somewhat late, I would like via the Forum to pass on my heartfelt thoughts to his wife and family.
R.I.P. Alan
