May I be the first to say that it looked a lot more than 2,200!

You could say that it's a vast improvement on the 1,300 for the Sunday game against Halifax so Friday's are the winner?

Pre-season friendly against a reserve grade SL side. I would say that 2279 is a fantastic crowd. It would have been half that on a Sunday. Wake up Leythers love Friday nights. icon_biggrin.gifANCE:

icon_biggrin.gif I think I'm going to love Friday nights, maybe the weather put a few off, it was a bit wet earlier on today (can't they get a canopy over that ticket office window, poor Andy mopped the tray three times at least when I got mine!)
I'm not a Monday to Friday 9-5 worker, so Fridays are good for me icon_biggrin.gif

And yes, I know, before anyone else says it, I haven't been for ages, but I came on a cold wet Friday night and brought two of my lads.

It was good to see everyone, seen loads of 'old friends' tonight and it was like I'd never been away.

I never lost the bug, just life and circumstances and stupid shifts and priorities took over!
Been listening to Leighlife radio though and decided I had to get back icon_biggrin.gif

The mixture of friday and sundays throughout the season allows for the players to spend more time with their families and time to recover before they go back to work

Well I think money is tight for a lot of folk and everyone knew Wigan were bringing mostly an under 20's side for tonights friendly game.

Leigh were not attracting enough fans for Sunday afternoon games but tonight I thought Leythers turned up in numbers despite the crowd which was announced.

We have a good side again' something most of us did not dare hope for back in October.

Last time we played Wigan in a friendly they brought over 1000 fans. Tonight I would say 300/400.

Time will tell wether this is a good night to play. I preferred Sundays personally but I can go anyday to watch our lads.

There were a lot more Pie fans than at ours but Salford have not put an official number out I thought about 3500. The north stand at smelly cold shed dome was nearly 3/4s full. The few that came along last night made enough noise anyway. Well done Pie Eaters.

To be fair, the pies have had two games in a week too, as well as it being an U20s team.
