Yes, sold down the river to protect the wider interests of the sport, if the people mentioned in his accusations knew about it it is inconcievable their superiors didn't

I feel a bit sorry for Gleeson not completely, because he has lied once so why belive everything now. It reads like he was striped up by Rule and Cooper who in turn were turned over by the RFL. I don't think that this is going to lie down either and we could see a couple of heads going at the RFL.

The other thing is if the pills came from Longys dad via Longy and it was known to contain a banned substance then why is Longy still working in the sport?

The way I understand this is that several other players were implicated and the RFL knew this but did not (as they are required to do) pass the information on to the UKAD. Its telling that the same old name(s) crops up again and again over the past few years. On the subject of why believe him now.....would you lie in an article that is going to be seen by so many people?

Honestly, i'd find it very heard to believe anything Gleeson says. The guys lurched from one disaster to another. He may be telling the truth, but everyone has heard the story of the boy who cried wolf.

It just seems to me he wants to blame everyone else. He's a 31 year old man, he needs to start taking responsibility.
