Article says we were talking to him, which I guess we were. So i think the OP can climb down from the high horse on this one.
Yes, they made a bit of a balls up with the Bracek deal. If they'd said "agreed to sign" rather than "signed" then it wouldn't have been so bad.

At a loss to understand how the club is a 'joke', as a result of this. They were talking to Richard, I believe, but never announced they had signed him. Whitehaven's offer obviously appealed to him more than ours did - end of story.

Sounds like the agent and club agreed terms- which was all ok until the player says 'no' and Haven wants him more than we did.

bracek,s missus is from barrow so that would explain why hes chosen to go there and ive never rated varkulis anyway there are better players out there than these 2

Give the guy a break.
Not everybody is on here everyday and we do not often get referred to in the National press or on TV.
Maybe that has something to do with franchising ?
Re our club being a joke I think that's a bit harsh but I don't think we should announce so and so has signed until his signature is on the contract
