It's with deep sadness that I pass on the news of the passing of Brian Ward.
Brian's contribution to our club and town has been immeasurable, and I'm sure many fans here will know him from around the club, selling golden gamble tickets (yes, he was the loud one) and from his role selling the clubs lottery door-to-door.
You'll be missed Brian, and I pass my public condolences to all those who held him dear.
RIP Uncle Brian.

Stunned to hear about this, really sad news. A real character who has always been a constant in the years I've been watching Leigh, almost one of those reassuring things that you know would always be there.

I always admired his enthusiasm on match days selling the tickets. I hope the club remembers him with a minutes silence or applause when the season starts.
