The Leigh Reporter says we have signed Bob Beswick for 2012 season.

The Leigh Reporter says alot.

I find it a little strange that they didn't put all this out on the website before it hit the papers especially as people have been clamouring for news.

That said Beswick, along with Greg McNally and Tommy Gallagher are very welcome additions. Freer also stated Richard Varkulis, Matt Gardner, Mark Calderwood and Andy Bracek have also expressed an interest in joining us.

With those signed, about to re-sign and the above "maybe" joining we're fixing to have a better side than last year and on a tighter budget.

I think that just goes to show how much we spent on a "few" last year.

It building up as a good team, its not all doom and gloom.

We havent signed Calderwood yet to my knowledge, he's apparently shown a interest in joining us though.

Well I meant since we know so little about the signings we have made in assuming we are in talks with him

IMO Varkulis would be a good signin, I just think we need some 1 with a bit of speed, I think we were lacking that last season. Can't wait for the season to start now.

Dean and Calderwood on wings will add real pace

I'd much rather give a young lad a chance than Calderwood to be honest.

Calderwood had his chance at Hull and couldn't hold it down. He had moments of magic but I'll agree with LTD there must be a young lad we could give some game time to.

Aftr speaking to a signed player from widnes I have been told that Varkulis is very close to joining us and that he lives not far from me in Golborne!!
