Which players are under contract for next season?

Craig Briscoe
Ricky Bibey
Stuart Littler

There are younger lads such as Ricky Murphy, Chris Rowe and Jordan Houghton contracted. I'm not sure who else is.

Can't knock him too much Ste, the guy has obviously had a tough year personally and with injuries.

He'll be back I'm sure. I hope he can have a good year next year.

The buzzards have been circulating for some time coaches have been contacted by some of our players agents for weeks now.

All the more reason to get some signed up pronto then surely?

I think this is the problem that perhaps Trevor and the club need to come forward and state fully where we are.
AFAIK after this season we have huge problems due to the above you mention yet it doesn't seem to have been communicated out very well if reading what fans are looking for coming in as a coach etc.
I'm not sure someone from Leighs board / high level has come out and said 'We have money for the end of the season 2010 but after that we are in huge financial difficulty as we have had no takers to buy the club so we could fold or be hit with a big points deduction due to administration'.

We had the initial push spear headed by LISA after AT's departure but I think the club needs to state just exactly where we are financially going forward.
Namely...
Will we have a club next season
Will we go into administration at the end of this season.
Has there been any interest from investors in a takeover.
Will the current board be leaving at the season end.
What are the long term plans.

I realise we still have this season but its easier focussing minds when RL is being played rather than in the close season when people quickly forget about it.

Who made the decision to give Bibey another contract? They must have been drunk, he's absolutely awful.

Injury prone, doesn't punch his weight, doesnt break tackles. Yeah he can pass but I don't want him to be a playmaker I want him to make yards.

I sympathise with his injury situation, could have happened to anyone but I've never rated the guy.

Thats why hes played at the top level most of his career with Wigan Saints Wakefield and you dont rate him
but for his bad luck this season with that injury he would have been one of the stand out forwards in this div that i have no doubt...........
