To get to the end of the season all fans at whatever level must do there bit, it really is a choice of do you want a club to support or not. I know fans who have packed in smoking, drinking less, donating Fathers day money instead of gifts etc.

Times are tough for many of us, its simply about asking ourselves how important LRLFC is as opposed to something else we spend money on, its not about finding spare money we dont have its about how we spend the money we have - for me its not renewing my Golf membership in August, LRLFC mean much more to me.

Its not about why should I do it when he isn't, don't worry about him. Do whatever you can, when you can, you will be proud to know you made a difference when it mattered, you will be proud to be a part of our great club and its history as its passed over to the generations to follow us.

When we come through this, and we will because Leythers always show their true colours in times of need, we must create a business that has a clear strategy with people commited to meeting individual targets, be that revenue streams, gates, costs, results etc. We must make that business transparent to its stakeholders, the fans, via an open book approach to avoid the horrors of recent weeks.

It is unlikely that we will 'break even' so external funding is essential, fans at all levels can provide that through an organised, vibrant, dynamic 'new' club that promotes a fans/business partnership to help us reach our potential and become the best we can be.

The fight isn't over its only just begun, stay united, avoid bickering and show the potential business investors that we are a fantastic club, with fantastic fans with a fantastic future.

I agree Mo if I were a potential investor in any business I would do my research and the internet is a great tool and one of the first sites you are directed to if you use Google is this one, so put all petty disputes behind you and show a united front anything less is failure, forget about someone not ringing you back, not e mailing you etc. bieng slighted by X director or Y club official hopefully those days are done. Move forward together or be static and die.

While theres blood running through my veins, Ill try my hardest to help MY club, this last two weeks, Ive been literally run off my feet, and you know, I sense it wont all be in vein.
The fans of our great club, are pulling together, I too agree Maurice, lets ignore any negitive comments and work together.

seriously though, keep your heads up lobbygobblers. and if the costs of the LSV are bringing you down we could let you use our place at a discount rate just dont tell st helens, we are charging them way over the odds. just because we dont like them.

However I would state that running a pro RL club in the modern days costs more money than even the most die hard RL fans in a poor town can afford. Pi$$ing in the wind springs to mind. The best result would be to try and see the season out, declare insolvency and take the 9 point hit next year.

If you do manage to save the club then your group should ask for shares in the club, even as a token gesture if you dont already have them.

On a negative I remember a thread on here in the winter mocking Crusaders' financial turmoil, people contributing to that thread look preeeetty damn daft now. Things can go wrong at any time and for any reason.

Yes you are quite correct , take away the SKY money that we dont get any of , and we're all foooked

One would hope that will change for Chp clubs over the next TV contract.
Thursday nights have been a relative success compared to what Sky probably hoped for when they picked it up for free

For SKY , yes , for the clubs no , it probably costs Leigh around £ 10,000 when being on SKY

Although if we had more control over the ground advertising then maybe it could become a success over time?
