| Well we won easily enough and I agreed with MOM.
Mort did well which pleased me but what happened to his goal kicking ?
Watson well I still think he can play a bit.

| Some incredibly soft tries conceded on our part but Swinton gave a good account of themselves apart from the odd high shot in the second half. Thought Riddy was our match winner although Hill was a deserved MOM for his part in Nanyn's second try, a try that you won't see many better during this season.
Ellis remains a bit of an enigma for me and Govin didn't do his chances any harm.

| We played well in patches today, and i agree we let in some soft try's. Not the same defensive display as last week.
I'm not to sure about Govin, i dont think he talk's enough during the game for the position he is playing.
Ellis's kicking game was poor today, we should have been able to play them in there half. I thought Riddy improved thing's in the second half and his kicking was much better.
Can anyone confirm that Anthony Nicholson has signed a new contract ? I was told this was announced at half time but i was under the stands getting a pint and missed the announcement. If that is true I for one am really pleased we have secured local young talent at the club. I was half expecting him to be in today's starting line up, when I heard robbie wasnt playing today.
Chris hill deserved his MOM another great go forward performance.

| Was glad to get the points.
Strange game, At times we looked good, at times (defensively) we looked poor.
Hopefully we will look to sticking with a more settled team from now on in as at times we had too many moves that came to zero (in fairness it is still early in the season).
I thought Swinton fought hard and showed enough to say they will be in the mix for The Championship 1 title.
Luckily Mort had left his kicking boots at home otherwise they may have got a lot nearer to us .
For us I think the forwards again took the plaudits, I'd have given the MOM to Nanyn for a solid performance (that also yielded him 22 points today) but couldn't argue to much with Hilly getting it.
Not the best match by a long shot and at times the ground was very quiet (devoid of atmosphere.....I got looked at is if I was mad for shouting for the lads at times), glad to see a following from Swinton, still think it would be better if we could have away fans in respective areas of the standing and sitting parts of the ground to help try and genertate a atmosphere.
10/10 for the flag team, would have been some weight karting them home after being in the rain all the game.
Only gripe was 'Arty' was missing today
Other than that, things are looking good 2 games in with more improvement to come.
Looking forward to the Sheffield game.

| A couple of the flags were stuck to the track in the end Jenky, didn't get out of the ground til nearly 5pm! They're now floating in the back of Ste Ody's car so hopefully a dry and windy day against Sheffield to dry them out a bit!
Anyone know why Hunter-Paul and Nicholson weren't in the squad today, apart from us having half a dozen half backs and hookers?

| Here's hoping we don't get to Challenge Cup Final then or Robbie will be in the commentary box and not on the pitch on that basis!

i disagree, swinton ran some very good lines fast when near our line. They are probably as good a team as any of the lower teams in our league. They have a good balance of youth and experience, similar to us but just not quite as good.

Some entirely preventable tries though with gaps in the defensive line, tacklers not wrapping the ball up etc.

| To concede 5 tries against any lower division side is terrible. Now Fev for eg or Fax or Widnes still bad.
Will Basil sort it ? I am sure he will.

Looks like your result was similar to ours last night against Toulouse, long way to go yet. Look at Barrow far from convincing so far.

| I'd forgotten what I've been missing all this time!
Our Joe got a freebie ticket so I decided to take him, but it was for the West stand, so I binned it and we went in the North.
I might visit a few more times, maybe the LSV will grow on me.
