Bit of a blinkered view there pea. Its aimed at the false claimants of which there are plenty, some will be found and some won't, but you can guarantee the tabloids will soon be running stories of unfair removal of benefits. Thats if they have time to give interviews inbetween the football matches and dance clubs

I guess you have to start somewhere and the genuine claimants will ultimately be unaffected but as you say it will cause them stress worrying about it - no doubt one or 2 genuine claimants will get stung in the cuts. However, there is clearly a need to have a good look at the benefits system as the numbers of claimants that you see with seemingly nothing wrong with them and who have far more luxuries than your average working man is beyond a joke.

now to be serious for a minute I'm thinking of a way to find one of em an easy job so when the L.S.V.find and dismiss the steward who verbally abused that poor lady who wrote to the reporter last week they can take his place cos they only have to be half fit to do that job

I am not a Con-Demed fan either but the fact that they are going to make it that people will not be better off claiming than working has to be a good thing as long as its aimed at those that are work shy .The thing that annoys me immensely is those that know how to work the system and end up being better off than the hard working people ie when on benefits you don't pay for anything unlike people that work who usually pay for all the services ,there's steam coming out of my ears as i type What i don't understand however is the fact that a person earning over 42,000 will not be able to get child benefit but if 2 people from same family earn say 38,000 each meaning 76,000 coming into the household they can

The cost involved in gathering everyones salaries and constant changes would be a costly adminstrative nightmare, which would make it a waste of time. The number of families this will affect 'unfairly' I would say is very very small, and it has already been stated that some other help would be forthcoming to stay at home mums.

I'm no Tory (or Lib Dem either), but so far I am liking what they are trying to do so far tbh.
