Just spoke to Scrum Down Under and the owner s said hes had numerous calls asking for a refund for last nights coach.
I paid the coach company in full last night, I havent heard from them since on this matter, after all they still had to pay their driver and then the cost of fuel etc, however if they do refund us anything I will make sure those on the coach last night will get discount off the next one.
Can everyone please respect the coach company as theyve been good with us and are putting on a coach for us walkers to get back from Widnes.

Anyone who thinks LISA or the coach company should stand the cost of what happened should think about if they where on a flight which crashed into the sea or a mountain. These things happen it is tough but there it is.

If I was on a plane that crashed into the sea or a mountain I would expect at the very least a full refund icon_eek.gif if not the airline would be recieving a very strongly worded letter about my uncomfortable flight icon_lol.gif

I would look at what other coach/travel operators do Lynda and take a stance from there, I'm only guessing but I would think if the journey had started but not finished due to the actions of a third party the coach company will want a full payment, as to where LISA stands then that is up to what other travel operators do, again I will guess at no repayment for the above reason. Perhaps now is a good time to reapraise the LISA role in travel?

One of those things, nobody is obliged to offer a refund but I'm sure an arrangement could be made between LISA and the coach company.

Spoke to our mini bus driver when we found out what had happened he said he would of give us half our money back. Like he said the journey had already started and it was nobodys fault.

wouldnt most coach operators have insurance for things like this?
