yesterday our attendence was bobbins understandably, well done to everybody who went to the game


On saturday i went swimming at the sports centre and there was some sort of army day , which loads of people turned up to.......leigh would have known about this so WHY didnt they have people from the club promoting the games??? our next home game is a good few week away so we should have been giving leaflets out to families that went

Spoke to a fellow leigh fan who was there and he said he heard coments such as....ive never been down to this side of leigh, its a really nice proffessional set up. Who actually advertises the rugby for us ?

You're bang on Ste, we never ever take any opportunity to promote the club, we should have had a stand there yesterday selling loads of stuff at discount prices to service personnel and their families.

So that's and England Rugby International, a Football International, A cup semi-final and a service commemorating servicemen that we could have promo'd. Not a singl quid was made on these days.

And I know people will say, oo Jonny you can't go round selling Leigh stuff when it isn't a Leigh event. Why not? Did Man Utd's superstore shut for that Robbie Williams game?

maybe we could of just had players signing autographs , having pictures taken ect ect ... the club should have offered to work with the armed forces and the community . handed out posters, flyers and promotional offers for our upcoming games!

Yep, not even pushing Leigh RL into peoples faces, just being there, selling drinks and painting kids faces etc. Just show some support, it still gets noticed. Like I keep saying, maybe we could have got ten fans out of that yesterday. If they go to ten games over a season, that's well over a grand in revenue.

I’m not saying Leigh Centurions asked about doing something on this occasion because I don’t know, but I do know that Allan Rowley asked about allowing the Leigh Centurions Amateur Forum to organise a full funday including Fans Zone to screen England’s opening WC game at the RL international. rlWhy else would I want a Marquee?rl

We were told no by LSV as it was a RFL event, maybe they asked and were told this was a Service’s event?

TBH I can see both sides on this, if you hired a place would you want someone else crashing your party?

or even doing what our club do best like giving free tickets away

1265 yesterday this included almost 300 in the hospitality boxes and I would "presume" ALL season ticket holders regardless of if they were there or not...perhaps Andy P can answer that ?

Must agree they ve got a fantastic way to record ST holders entering the ground.........Pencil and paper , you could n`t script it better........... I might try the next home game with another card as was documented last term.........
