Most of the schools in Huddersfield are boycotting the sats for 11 year olds, so maybe they are in Leigh too???

| It may not be a bad thing and could give the kids a break. I know my youngest is very worried about his SATS. Worried about exams at 11 years old is a disgracefull condition to be in. They should be looking forward to going to the big school not freightend to death of not performing. He has come home with 7 pages of homework this weekend. Thought it was supposed to be fun.

| Its going to be a problem with some who have not finished by Thursday, but its not really the fault of the club or LSV if Sky decide to move what is usually our biggest home game of the season to the Thursday night with the 'Cooperative' funding that comes with it.

When you say "They" who are you referring to??
As for the timing, it could be absolutely perfect - the vast majority of Year 6 pupils finish their SATs with the Maths tests on Thursday 13th May (there are only a small minority of schools doing the Science tests on the Friday and, as they're only a trial, they are far less important).
What better way to celebrate than a night out with your classmates at the LSV?!
If marketed properly it could be a real hit!

| SATs aren't important and give false predictions for children later in secondary school, their time would be much better spent worrying about Leigh's game against Widnes, i know it will be the only thing i will be thinking/worrying about on that day!

| A bit of relief from worrying is just what they need then isn't it? Leigh can't win can they? Bet you were calling them for the Sheffield crowd last week.

No, but maybe a match that finishes after 9 is too late for most 5-9 year olds. It's a great idea and well done to the Community department for the idea but maybe not the best match to choose. Also I think there perhaps should be a reduction for the adult accompanying the child, even if it was just a token couple of pounds. I know for a lot of parents in our school £16 is out of their price range.

| Here`s another idea ....Why don`t the ST holders subsidise some of these adults whose children will be getting in free, afterall the ST holders don`t have to outlay any funds for this match. A donation from this particular group(ST) would not go amiss in todays climate. You know it makes sense..........

| Excellent idea that Bart, I think the ST holders should really push the boat out for these dithering parents and buy them all a pie & pint as well.
