I have asked the Leigh Centurions if they can have a minutes silence in rememberance of Jim, however as from Today RFL have to approve ALL minutes silences before games so can I urge all to contact the RFL by e mail to ensure Jim has a Leythers send off please.

e mail sent, but what a stupid rule by the RFL i am sure that Batley wouldnt have any objections to a minutes silence before the kick off on monday for the leythers who knew Jim to pay their respects

However, I'm pretty sure the RFL have needed to approve all minute silences for quite a while, and also that it's the club who need to apply for the RFL's approval, with the opposition club's support if possible?
Still, good to see fans backing a request and I'm sure Batley will do too. |

How can the RFL say no to a minutes silence at a clubs request? How very disrespectful to the family of the loved one who gets told no, you can't have a minutes silence.
I hope Mr McCulloch gets the respect he deserves at your next game.

Think it's just to make sure they don't occur every week for any Thomas, Richard or Harold.
That's clearly not the case here though and I'm sure the RFL will have no problem with it. |
