Disappointing and a very sad day in the clubs history.
Well I suppose London it is next year, but will all the deals that have been done for the coach and the players still stand or are the get out clauses already being filed?
Poor season, poor effort from the club as a whole.

Maybe we wasn't good enough for our own expectations this season, but to be the 2nd team from 10 clubs to be relegated with 32pts just 4 behind playoff place, and a total of 9 wins out of 20.......its not right.
Won't happen but if RFL change it so we stay up I would gladly take it. |

They did it with Widnes when Catalans went into Super League. Lets not get bitter about it. We need to turn this into a possitive and come back bigger, better and stronger. Leigh as a town now more than ever need to get behind the club.

RFL have messed up with relegating 2 teams from 10 clubs. We knew the rules about Toulouse. The fact about 2 going down is it was unfare even before a match had been played this season.

Agreed.
The RFL might wash their hands and say 'thems the rules' but it doesn't make it ok. It wasn't when it happened to Widnes, Castleford and it isn't now.

Is it actually set in stone that, with Toulouse finishing in the bottom two and with them being immune from relegation, the team above them go down?
If not I think that they should only relegate Donny and promote two teams to bring the number of clubs in the Championship up to twelve making it unnecessary to have blank weeks (which is what I'm sure they would have done had Gateshead been in that position).
Anyway, if you do go down as seems likely I am really sorry and hope you bounce back at the first attempt as I'm sure you will.
