We were terrible.

Paul' Hartley' Donlan were truly terrible. Higson dropped 2 crucial balls. Stanton worst game he has played for us.

Not good enough. Players not good enough weather not good enough.

We are in for one hard season judging by this bag of sh*te.

Madden yet another penalty given away when he had the ball. I wish someone would ask him why he does that and someone else would tell me why he was given another contract.

Basil must be madder than Iam but he will have to be very mad to do that.

Bright spot was Leulai who had a good game and ridyard who was a lot better than Hartley.

York are a top six Championship 1 side in my view. I thought they were better than us. icon_rolleyes.gif

Robbie Paul was completetely overshadowed by Thorman (who ran the game). Ridyard must start all games from now on at stand off, Hartley is far too slow and offers nowhere near enough in attack.

What about Nanyn! How many backs break the line and then have to look for support as they cant run!

He was bad too but I am still brassed off that our players serve this dross up when fans spend time and money to watch them.

About 400 other daft beggars did the same.

We should not just be afraid about this season we should be quaking in our boots.

Playing as we did today against Fax for example and we would look as bad as any team at our level can be.

Ok no props but how can the handling errors be excused not to mention the two tries which York scored.

We would have struggled today against Leigh's two amateur sides. Those who did not go be thankfull.

Its hard to put your finger on the exact reason we are not performing well enough tactically but the one thing that does stand out is that we have too many players that are not good enough!! Come on IM we need you to work your magic! On a positive note Leulai had a brilliant game especially first half and nebby showed how unfit he was going up York Minster. Thought I was next to Andy Hobson at times.

It was bad enough listening to the commentary on the web.... So a014.gif to all the Leythers who travelled over those hills to watch that performance.

season ticket bought so i will be there next week watching the lads. But i will not be travelling a long way to watch our team. From what i have seen up to now we are boring to watch...... THe line is not deeop enough when on attack so dooesnt get all the way across the line. Basil has got one huge job on his hands here, if he can't do it. We will hopefully get better whhen we have all the props back but that has nothing to do with putting the ball along the line. Watching the line against Oldham it was all messed around. You could clearly see that some players were not in the right position. With this cup though i have no doubt that this sort of thing will improve. If not we will be going to C1 a year late

Meekin and Morrison did play. Meakin seeemed to have taken a knock early but nothing too serious.

We would not have won today with our best two props.

We could not even manage to not drop the ball when it came out of our side at a scrum.

Clueless in attack, predictable, un-interested the list goes on.

Why do we never seem to have any attacking guile about us, everytime we get the near line we look clueless and end up playing one man stuff. We were lucky York didn't take all their chances today otherwise it could of easily been more.

I didnt think York were much better than wigan colts or a scraped together owdham.York bombed a couple of tries at least today through a bad final pass and lack of composure.
So where does that leave us? Currently we lack the power and the pace.Kick n chase was good, try to be positive, and we might have pinched the game, undeservedly, if Nanyn and Stanton had shaped themselves or Robbie had been more accurate or timed his short passes better.
How much improvement do we have in us, some, with everyone fit and youthful addditions.I recall a performance in this cup at Swinton when we thought things must improve but they didn't.
