| Tough loss. Lots of heart shown.
Question on the final disallowed try question.
Liam Hood is clearly offside when the kick goes up but is he then not played onside once Ryan Hall makes contact with the ball up in the air ?
(Also think the HKR try was a knock-on in the air, into the Leigh player, who then knocks on again, prior to the ball then going wide for the try. Not the backwards fumble that was looked at).

| A couple of decisions were contentious , but Vete was a disgrace , he goes for the young lad Forster I think it was , then he swears at someone as he is coming off .

What has age got to do with it? He is a Leigh player the same as the other 16. Players don’t go into a tackle thinking I’ll take this easy as he’s only a young kid. Kendall was inconsistent Sidlow should have been in the bin for head high on Simms. The rovers head highs were no worse and both resulted in sin bins. Placed 75 minutes with 16 players 18 minutes with someone in the bin, 2 of which reduced us to 11 and you still could not win.

Maybe, time will tell but we have made quality signings and resignings. You have not made any, so far. In fact your better players such as they are seem to be on the way out. You are well behind the eight ball. A position we found ourselves in over the last few years. It is a difficult situation to get out of as normally players will only sign for likely relegation candidates as a last resort. Having a proven coach enabled us to attract players of quality last time and so we have improved our position on last year, at least so far, whilst you signed a number our our players, the team that finished bottom thanks to the Canadians dropping out. That should have given you a bit of a clue about your chances this year. I do hope your new coach can pull things around as I fully appreciate the situation you are in. Well not quite as we have never gone so long without winning a match.

| Quote: Keiththered "Not if the proposed system is introduced. You’ll have to wait until the end of 2022 season for that pleasure, it will only delay the inevitable. I’m afraid I cannot see you finishing 10th out of fourteen. You will need almost a new team. Effort will not be enough you will need skill as well. The likes of Joel Tomkins will not be enough.'"
Again I do realise what situation we will be in , if we don’t go down ,and it could be just giving us a reprieve, with 4 going down out of 14 it will be extremely difficult and again I agree we will need a new team , we will need a virtual new team anyway ,as most are leaving at the end of this season .
And to survive we will need to recruit quality in abundance , I’m sure Derek knows this as well though ,as for Joel Tomkins ?Im hoping the first of a few quality players to arrive , you have to start somewhere , we have now signed him ,2 Aussies , Joe Mellor , I’m hoping Brierley and James Bell sign again ,maybe Sidlow ,the rest it will up to the Coach , again I’m not sure if we will get one but apparently Derek already has once in mind and is just waiting to announce him .
I’m hopeful of our future , hopeful being the word , but I’m also a realist IF we want to become a top 10 side then we need drastic measures in recruitment , or we are just marking time till we go down again .

Derek I think ourselves , Salford , Wakey , Hudds , Hull KR , and the 2 possible oromotedClubs if it happens all realise the extreme mountain they will have to climb to get into the proposed top 10.
My question is this season we started on a lower amount of Central Funding ,because we where a new team to SL , next season we won’t be a new team , does this mean we will on the same footing asSalford , Hudds ,and Wakey ?And will the 2 promoted teams be on a less amount as we were ?
It will be interesting to see what occurs .

I’m sure Derek Beaumont is well aware of what is needed. If his past record is anything to go by he has little idea of how to bring it about. His leadership over the past few seasons has left a lot to be desired. Being a passionate fan is not enough and he has proved it.
