One of the nicest men I know passed away yesterday. RIP Henry you were a real gent.

For those who don't use FB and wish to know more, his daughter Claire posted this:

"My Dad, my hero Henry C Cocker grew his angel wings yesterday, thanks to everyone who has asked about him over these past couple of months, It has shown me that my DAD was the most amazing man I already knew he was....I hate you cancer you took my one love away from me but he is at peace now. I will let everyone know his final arrangements. Sleep tight Daddy love you and miss you so much already xxxxx"

That's really sad news. Knew he was poorly.

I'm gutted,he was a great bloke and a friend,I've lost my mate and Leigh Centurions have lost a Leyther Supporter who was 100% Fan.Everyone who knew Henry has only good things to say about him,a friend to so many people.Sleep Well Henry.I will miss you,the LSV won't be the same.Ian.

Such sad news and I saw his posts loving his holidays in Spain. Would have loved another pint with the man. RIP Henry you will be with the Angels.

Deeply saddened to be informed of Henrys passing last week.

Passionate supporter and someone I always looked forward to bumping into along with Frank, Ian Colbert and others who I hold in such high regard and are the lifeblood of the Leigh club.

Henry was a face that always just seemed to be there, not just at first team games or LISA meetings and events etc but he always supported the reserve team and community clubs East and Miners were I'm honoured to have enjoyed a pint with him at both.

Will be sorely missed and I will never forget you pal, sleep well and rest in peace.

Always had my car done with Henry, spent most of the time sipping tea and chatting about Leigh and his trips abroad on his motorcycle. A sad loss.
