So people have been asking to try a Saturday Night game for a while, what did people think?

I quite liked the double header with the reserves game but would still probably prefer Sunday afternoon for just one game, kills the day a bit much evening games if there's nothing going on beforehand. Should definitely do another Saturday double with the reserves though.

I enjoyed it
Prefer a game where there more away fan like Fev or Fax , but it was ok better then Friday night .
We will have to get used to it anyway as we will have to play , Thursday, Friday,Saturdays and Sunday soon

Sundays for me - it just don't feel right on a Saturday and now I'm at a loss on what to do today!

Decent gate with few away fans and Haydock having a music night, plus mi dads away as well so I didn't know the result beforehand

Didn't look anything like 2000 on to me. Sat on my own as mates I normally am with found time inconvenient.
Thought I would be in favour but don't think I am now.
Maybe try slightly earlier or even later time.

Re the double header at HT for the reserve game I asked a steward could I go into Legends bar.

He said no as the entrance underneath the West stand was locked.

I then asked could he let me out of the stadium. He said yes but if I wanted to come back in I would have to purchase another ticket. I said why I am a season ticket holder. He said it was LSV policy.

Thought that stopped a few from going to both games tbh.

I also asked how to get out after the match as all the gates were shut. The steward asked what type of ticket I had and when I told him a season ticket he let me through. Never mentioned having to pay again.

Same as Frank me n te lad asked to be let out to go into Legends the steward said we could,nt go out I said what I can't go out I told him to open the ruddy door and let me out he replied that I was,nt coming back in without buying a new ticket I had told him we where season ticket holders but he would,nt have it I was laughing on the way out after 45 mins in Legends we went back in with our season ticket I thought to myself WHAT WAS ALL THAT ABOUT earlier ...Stewards hey a funny lot at the LSV miserable sods lol

If someone had bought a ticket on the day and had used it in the first match I could see there being problems getting back in with the stub being torn off. It could have been a real problem for the Centurions as they would get the blame anyway. Fortunately not heard of any real problems so they could have got away with it.

I preferred it, enjoyed not having to rush as I do for a midweek game (and the fact its usually only me who can do midweek - even then if I'm lucky!) and also being able to make a day of it.
Kept today free which on a sunny day was a big bonus, all in all a cracking weekend.

The problem is communication. Who gave the stewards their instructions ?

With a season ticket you can' if you wish get in for free at reserve team home gains. I would hazzard a guess most season ticket holders who go to reserve home games pay anways as it is £2 for an adult and £1 for concessions.

Anyone who went to the reserve game yesterday would have paid first team price admission or used their season ticket.

The steward wasn't told clearly enough imo although at the time I did not make an issue about it.

Seems you have a thing about stewards as you have mentioned this particular one more than once or is it the Florescent Jackets you like ?They do go well with your toeless sandals . .

I have no problem with the stewards at the LSV they follow the instructions they have been given. I feel however that in this instance they may have misinterpreted what they were told on the subject I have brought up.

I prefer sunday, but me and salfordlad got our RL fix by going to watch Halifax v Whitehaven, mind it was to one sided for my liking, beer was good and had a great time with the fax fans
