Hi all

Leigh East would like to invite all players, juniors, family, sponsors & supporters to a FREE evening to launch the 2014 campaign for the open age teams at the club on Saturday 15th February at Leigh East clubhouse, Ledgard Avenue.

After a season of consolidation the club is now looking to build on that and push for promotion in 2014. The evening is a chance to promote the positivity surrounding the new season and for old and new members to come together and be a part of it. It is also a chance for people who may have spent time away from the club to be welcomed back and be a part of the club’s future. If you have been a part of the club in the past, please come back down and see what plans the club has for the upcoming season.

On the night there will be a chance to meet the new coaching team and have a question and answer session with them. There will also be an introduction to the playing staff for the upcoming season and a chance to meet the new additions to the squad. There will be an opportunity to support the club and players with a “players sponsor” auction and a chance to mingle with the squad for some different games on the night. There will also be a chance to make yourself a member for the 2014 season.

For anyone interested in potential sponsorship, it is also a chance to view available packages ranging from programme sponsors to sponsoring a match day. Also, any potential new players are more than welcome to come and have a chat to the coaching staff about playing opportunities.

Alongside that, the event will be attended by a range of past players with a chance for anyone who has played for the club in the past to sign up to the past players association on the night. If anyone has any old photographs relating to players, teams or the club in general, please bring them down and share the memories and have a chat to some old club favourites.

This is a great opportunity for everyone connected to the club, and those who want to be, to get together after the hard work preparing for the new season ahead. A DJ and food will also be provided and children are welcome.

There is an open age friendly at 3pm where a mixed team will face Shevington Sharks. The club will be open following the game with the launch night starting around 7pm.

Representatives from the Centurions will also be in attendance to further cement the recent work they have been doing with regards to improving relationships with clubs in the community.

This season more than ever, we are in this together. Come and be a part of it!

All the best to Leigh East this year, I recently met with Dave Radley at the community partner club meeting and also at our u20s game and I have no doubt they are on the way up.

As one of our partner clubs we will getting behind East and it sounds like a great night which I hope to attend.

Thanks Andy it certainly means a lot to us when our local professional club is right behind us. We have watched with interest lately at all the great work you are putting in over there and this is something that has inspired us. As Keith says we still have a long way to go yet at East but we are making great strides and the feel good factor is certainly back. It's great for the town that these relationships are being built between our professional and amateur clubs. Here's to a great season for all the Leigh clubs both amateur and pro, hope to see some of you at our launch night!!

Just a reminder that it is the launch night for Leigh East open age this Saturday.

Leigh East will be playing Shevington Sharks at 3pm with the launch night due to start at 7.00pm. Its a free night with a buffet and disco and a chance to sign up as a member for the season. Also the chance to discuss possible sponsorship packages or just have a little look at the club and this season's squad in general.

Would be great to see a few down at the club.

just another reminder that if your chomping at the bit for tomorrows game, you could always get an early fix of rugby by getting down to Leigh east vs shevington, 3pm kick off at Leigh east.

this of course will be followed by the launch night where we would love to see loads of centurions supporters at the club to join in the banter and provide some support.
