Does anyone know if we are getting anymore players?

dual contract players yet to come in but am sure at the last forum that they were keeping a little back in case the right player came along but we have 24 signed on so that could be it for the time being

i think its 22 on contract plus brierly on DC,so it would be nice if we could get a couple more signed up and then the DCs

think we've got a fantastic team but i think were missing someone with a bit of pace?

I'd hang on now and see where we get injuries and maybe try and recruit when we start looking jaded.

We start on fire every year then burn out.

This has been the case last two season but last year was probably down to morale after the coach decides to leave and its annouced before the end of the season, and the situation with AT pulling out and then in September being paid late.
If things thing had nt happened I think we would have gone on the get to the GF and maybe won it.

I agree with Dick Jones with regard to winning the league and GF. Last year I reckon Leigh played 29 games against teams from our level and Fev played 28 and we both lost three. We both showed a lot of consistency. They came up short in the NR and we did in the play offs. I think they lost to Widnes and Halifax in the NR and Leigh in the league and we lost to Halifax in the league and Fev and Sheff in the play offs. There was nowt between them results wise. However, as Dick Jones has stated, without the huge impact that the Millward and Thomas departure announcements had during the season and of course the money problems ie players not getting their wages, I believe they would have understandably done even better than they did. In their first 27 fixtures against Championship sides, I think Leigh lost just one game and that came directly on the back of the AT news. That was an incredible achievement IMO. Anyhow, that is all water under the bridge now and we can look back on a superb season last year and hopefully now look forward to another great one this time around. The players have been a pleasure to watch so far this year. Well done to everyone at the club for their efforts!

Well McNally is no slow coach neither is Adam Clay and if Rowley decides to play Worrincy in a Baldwinesque type role ?

Brierley is so quick over the crucial first 10 metres is something worth seeing too imo

Both Brierly and McNally are like Dash from the Incredibles over the first 15mtrs. Don't know how Adam Clay stayed mobile when he scored that against Wigan in the first half. He was running an arc and so bloody low down. Takes a lot of mid body strength to do that.

who ever said that we are lacking pace and need to sign someone that has it, they musnt be looking at the same squad, mcnally, brierley, clay, pownall, they all have lightning pace

I think pace has been a bit of a problem fro us in recent years but not this year imo as others have correctly stated we have the likes of Brierly, Mcnally, Pownall, Clay and Worrincy in the squad and Ridy isn't slow neither however, I think we are a bit short of numbers in the front row and could possibly do with another centre but I'm sure they can be covered by DC's Ryhs Evans again maybe?

Its been a fantastic turnaround from the club after the doom and gloom surrounding Leigh Centurions a few months back, and I truly believe we're in for a great season
