Fred please update who was looking good from u23's. Thought that centre looked ok .

3 players to add to the squad and 1 more dual. That should see us have a decent year and not cost the earth.

I, I would never have a half back as a dual they are too important a position to have them dragged back every other week.
2, Varkulis and Hopkins IMO are only stand in second rowers they are better core players and as Taylor and Goulden are also core players there is no depth of attack in the pack in that squad Maurice, a couple of wide runners are also needed of which one should be Briscoe who is on contract I think.
2, Ricky Murphy is the centre I think you mean, I'm told he is on contract anyway, I'd also take a punt on Gaz Thomas a young goal kicking winger who has come on leaps and bounds over the last year or two, Scott O'Brien whilst not having the best of seasons with the reserves last year is a player of outstanding talent, other players in last years reserves are in the main too young and inexperienced for Championship rugby which is a shame as all were developing well under a good young coach in Neil Jukes, which boded well for the future.

All of course only my opinion.

I'd include Craig Briscoe to that list and if Jake Emmit is still young enough to be a DR I'd hope IM sends his our way (wishful thinking probably there though)

Hopkins needs to be propping and donlan needs to be in there.

Fred as you know , young Gaz Thomas is my Nephew , so im a bit biased, his Mum told me he is going back to St Judes , in Wigan , but he would always be willing to play for Leigh.

Can't see it Ian, heard a lot of Cas fans saying he was their best forward before he got injured.

I know hence why I said wishful thinking mate hopefully IM will send us someone for the season on DR in the forward area. If we have Donlan next season Pownalls one of our new wingers IMO

The 'out of contract' list got issued last Thursday, so choices of who to sign up will dwindle over the next couple of weeks. Lots of players on the list have already been approached, or signed.

One which we can afford that doesn't need propping up with bucket collections at the end of the season cos the Club have underestimated income streams.

We all do our bit ,be it by bucket collections , joining LISA , the Forcast Comp , The Poker nights , its called being a Leigh Fan , may not be easy , but like most on this Forum , Leythers will do anything to make sure the Club survives , we need Leigh Centurions , what would we do on a Sunday otherwise watch Soccer .

heard on the grapevine that craig calvert is interested in playing for leigh dont know how much truth is in it its probably just a rumour, but that lad can catch pigeons, distance will be a problem.
