considering all the changes made to the line up during the match which they handled well enough.
Can't wait to see how a set 17 go against a team from our own division

As for Quins? take Dorn, Clubb and Wilkes out of that team and theres not much left to shout about.

Purdham is a big name missing for us-How did Ellis go at Hooker and Randall at 7?

I was more than happy with the performance today.

They cut us to pieces at times, but we did the same to them.

Thought we built pressure better than Quins did, and I feel that will be much more important this season in the league and rail cup.

A game we could have won. 2 of their first half tries came from defensive errors from Nanyn take them away and we were the better team for me.
I would be worried about the coming season if I was a Quins fan.

As a Quins fan im glad you gave us a good workout. You were going to be miles better opposition the Skolars. so really you were our first pre-seson game. what we needed was a game like this to find out our defence problems which a lot of us Quins fans are concerned about for the coming season.

So thanks and good luck in the coming season.

Ollie Wilkes was their MOM , he was outstanding. Luke Dorn is a class player and Tony Chubb is unstoppable from 10 yds out
We were unlucky to be behind 6-24, through a few basic errors and some whistle happy blowing .We at least deserved the draw and could ve possibly taken the spoils, all in all a great response from the players coming back from that deficit to close the gap to 2 pts.

I think IM has got a good set of players together there. We have all sorts of permutations available. Before I go on I would like to say that I slaughtered Mick Nanyn for his first half performance and to his credit he came back on and showed us what he can do. Dave mills should get a few more games on todays performance. Although I love AJ and he saved a certain try today he does seem to get injured alot but still think he is a better centre than MN. The whole team seems to click with Duffs on the field and with him and Ant Nicholson we have two excellent hookers. Jamie Ellis need to be told that he is allowed to run the ball in a few times instead of always looking to pass because when he did it he looked like he may have broken the line a couple of times. We were very slow in the first 20 mins and if we had come out of the blocks a bit quicker we would have battered them today. We didn't seem hungry enough in the those minuites. Three of our tries today were worthy of any televised game an it is that that fills me with confidense for the coming season. We just need to improve line speed, watch the flat pass and I don't think we will be far away from the top and a final. One last thing very poor crowd and the 10 from Quins out sang the Leythers. Mills or Duffy for MOM. Oh sorry Martin Rydyard forgot to mention him. His input when he came on lifted the team. His kicking was top.
Come On You Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeigh.

We looked like we could score plenty today against a FT team, from the friendlies I would go with the following starting at Batley

Donlan
McGilvary Higson
Nanyn Littler

Govin Ridyard

Hill Bibey
Duffy
Taylor Nash Goulden

Mills Thornley Nicholson Gorski

If Nash is out then Meekin to the bench

What did everyone think of Karl Price. He was in the bar 10 mins before kick off with his dad. Whan I got to my seat I said " don't think Price is playing. Just seen him in the bar". Next thing he is stripped and running up and down. Doesn't look fit at all so close to the start of the season.

Thnx bud.

I read on the Quins board that he was on the bench, but perhaps he didn't take to the field.

Are you sure it wasn't Leon who you saw as I believe he was at the game? As for Karl, I've seen milk turn quicker - the crust muncher who was sat with me in the second half was delighted Wigan are trying to get him at Quins for the full season.

Thought it was another very encouraging performance from Leyth. There aren't many players in our league with class like Dorn or Clubb and I think with a little more composure in attack we'd have won the game, though the silly defensive errors still seem to be cropping up occasionally. Bring on the Dogs.
