Dont shoot the messenger here, but take away him being a sportsman.....he's an employee of a company and in todays climate of employment law, its actually hard to dismiss someone for gross misconduct for snorting a bit of coke.

It may not be the reason, but I'll lay money on some of Wigans Human Resources people having kittens over just simply tearing his contract up.

But surley as a proffesional sportsman his contract would state somewhere he should not take drugs!!

At the end of the day if you take drugs outside of work and it affects your performance on the job in someway then I'm sure you'd be history.
