| Hearing an announcement to be made at noon tomorrow. Guessing it will be a new signing. Hampshire is who I think it will be.

| I really do hope so, I've not heard one bad report about Hampshire, he can also play anywhere in the backs, though I think his position is full back, though I know he's not a bad stand off, I remember him in a friendly at the LSV a couple of years ago, he came on at 6 and did really well.

| Well, it's nearly noon ...... not quite but .....
It's now 05.30 of the a.m variety, I have been up for work for 20 minutes now, feeling tired & jaded after yesterday's jaunt to th'illuminations so I am need of some very, very, good news.

| New shirt would be nice !!
Just a good old plain cherry and white hooped version.
Oh, and the away shirt being a good old blue and whited hooped jersey. Call me old fashioned, but some of these strips we see are just 'Carp' !!

| I couldn't agree more, traditional can be made to look 'modern' with just one or two subtle touches.
I think that is sometimes lost on people when they demand a modern strip.
A Newcastle United FC shirt is still very much a traditional shirt when they release the re-vamped modern new one every season.

| Some people unfortunately still do appear to be under the misapprehension that we are entering Super League merely to make up the numbers.

| Some forget how many points we scored against SL clubs, how many would we have scored at Leeds without sentiment and if we needed to win?
We have a tackling machine in Stewart with a great brain as a nice extra, Vea Green and Maria are experienced SL forwards with size. Brown and Tonga are two big experienced centres, Higson and Dawson are very competent wingers with good size and physicality, McNally was sorely missed against Leeds and adds so much more to the attack whilst being secure under the high ball. Drinkwater Ridyard and McNally will move the team around the park very well
Then we look at Patterson Hansen Hock Weston Tickle Acton Hopkins plus the quality at 9 in Higham Hood and Pellisier feeding of any QPTB
If we sign Hampshire and bring in another prop and outside back we will be competitive at the minimum, depth without reserves and academies will be a problem but let's hope for a good injury run and an early win

| As Cokey said, Maurice.
If we get a couple of points from those first four "welcome to SL" matches, Bongser'd be ecstatic not just happy. Come they early in that quartet it will ease nerves both on and off the field and show the rest of the 12 that Leigh haven't built a strong pack just so that it can hold the SL table up.
