According to reports in Aus St George are after Edwin for next year onwards as part of there rebuild under new coach Flanagan. I think Edwin has two years left on current deal, but if I was him I wouldn’t go anywhere near them. There board is a laughing stock at the moment and have been for a while, as they keep cocking up important decisions and there captain wants out ASAP. I hope the club can start announcing some retention of players soon as no news and hearing stories doesn’t help.

Out of contract players at the end of this year - Jacob Jones, Tom Nisbet, Ben Nakubuwai, Kai O’Donnell, Ben Reynolds, Aaron Smith, Nathan Wilde, Joe Wardle, Lachlan Lam.

Out of those, I'd say that only Kai and Lachlan would be difficult to replace. Not saying that others aren't worth keeping but letting them move on wouldn't weaken us significantly.

I think Ipape will be loyal to Leigh. Doubt he will going anywhere next season. It's all speculation and rumours.

Let us hope so. The PNG god that is Adrian Lam is (as stated passim) would prove the most important extension. Some others will then fall in step.

On Radio Manchester tonight, Adrian Lam said that no one is going anywhere. So forget all this media speculation. They're playing for Leigh.

I didn’t hear that interview. That is awesome to hear. I think Adrian Lam and the coaching team will be a huge reason why players will turn down so called “big club” interest and even NRL interest. Half our team labeled as rejects and/or “past their best”. He and the other coaches, has turned them back into what they always and still were, quality players who are enjoying their rugby.
I also believe that Derek will make sure that money does not become a stumbling block to keeping a player.
Committed and quality coaching staff, committed and passionate owner and last but not least, a quality human being who knows how to get the best out of his team.

Maybe he should lower his expectations and have his kids educated wherever the guy/gal that said he would be "staring" in SL was educated?
