17580.jpg First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

| An amazing start for the lads
That is exactly what we needed. Well done John Duffy and all.
Listened to the commentary and now can’t wait to see the game on LCTV.
Also well done to the 3000 Leythers who turned up. The crowd noise was very evident on the commentary.
Great start all round.

| Unreal performance from 1-17 and for all you with misgivings the saints lads were amazing.. Luke Douglas put a good shift in and ashworth looked the best forward on the pitch by a long way. Awesome start for the season well done lads

| Great disciplined performance from a group of relative strangers, they look comfortable together.
Good performances around the pitch, McNally looked confident and Ashcroft was immense, he is Acton without the brain farts.

| Well, that was a pleasant surprise! Total, all-out commitment from 1-17; very few errors; and excellent game management and kicking game from both half-backs - especially young Woods. Last season we exerted so little pressure on the sixth tackle but today, that was one of the big factors in our win. And, as a bonus, tremendous commitment from all the D/R players. It would be brilliant if we could see a lot more of Douglas and young Ashworth and Smith.
Good crowd too, who soon warmed to the task of being our '18th man'.
As an aside, I was slightly surprised to see 'he who is taking a back seat', celebrating on the touchline, at the end of the game! I expect he would be entitled to ask, where that commitment and skill was, last season!
I thought that was a nice touch, when the Toulouse players came to applaud both the North and West stands. I hope they/we don't get into trouble, about that!

Seemed to be same v Broncos Alan.. Or did you miss that one! Great win by far. As most Leythers predicted a loss on here, I await their trusted comments with egg left on thier faces..
Well done Leigh.

Indeed it was , I noticed it was Johnathon Ford who was leading them together and bringing them over to the NS
We have a good relationship with them probably after our 2 games last year , hope it will continue and indeed replicate with other clubs , aTEOTD it's just a game

Missed him doing it then. I must have been dis-orientated by being made to sit in the North end of the West stand!
I must admit that I expected us 'Toulouse' yesterday. The victory, and indeed 80 minute performance, kicking game, spirit, game management etc. came as a very pleasant surprise, after last season!

True. And it's still heart warming to see 34 men demonstrating why it's called 'The Greatest Game'.

| A great performance. Hopefully Saints have good luck with injuries this season, as the 3 DR players and Douglas were excellent.
Nice to see Leigh half backs actually control a game for a change, something that's not been seen for a while.
