All fully aware of what DB has spent to get to SL. How much has he spent since being in SL?

Hopefully, being in SL generates a lot more income, in the form of Sky money, gate receipts, sponsorship, hospitality, programme sales etc. The owner shouldn't need to prop up the club, to the same extent.

Today is the biggest game of the season so far a win is a must we owe them one for challange cup defeat but to be fair they was the best side on the day well drilled and organised let's hope we can get off to a good start

As Alan and indeed Dereck suggested last year , he hoped in SL we could " wipe our own face " financially , now perhaps we have , perhaps we haven't

Personally I'm very happy with our performance this year , also with the squad assembled and have enjoyed every minute ( apart from the last 12 seconds at Catalan ) of the season , win or lose

I think it has a lot to do with us. The quoted figure of an average 5,500 attendance to sustain SL without financial input from the owner! Has that been met so far?

To often we see posts stating we have a rich sugar daddy to look after us. In DB's defence I would love to be able to reply to them stating he hasn't touched his wallet this season.

Well said GUBRATS! It is up to Derek where he spends his money and besides i think it is very obvious Derek is still spending a substantial amount of his hard earned. Recent aquisitions to bolster the squad do cost money.

Hull FC, Leeds, Warrington, Salford and Huddersfield to name a few all have very rich sugar daddy's as owners.

From my experience business plans rarely work out on the plus side , but hopefully any investment made won't be excessive , let's just hope we can retain our SL place and build our support base

Getting relegated cost us a million quid a year straight off according to our chairman and when we were in SL he and another guy propped us up to the tune of 500 grand a season with average gates of 8000 so I'd say your chairman is still dipping into his own pockets you don't get into RL ownership to make money I think only Leeds make money

A few years ago I had a ' discussion ' with our former head coach were he told me he had seen a break even SL business plan based upon average gates of less than 4,000 , I suggested he believed in Santa and the tooth fairy as well he wasn't impressed

I would suggest a return to the wallet,and pay some of these guys off.
