| Rowley continues his failed attacks on the club. Total Rugby League are carrying the article announcing Dixon and Pownall signings but strangely have a picture of Greg McNally at the top.
Dixon and Armstrong were both thanked and praised for their continuing commitment at the awards dinner, morals and integrity were mentioned, Kay and Pownall were not mentioned.

| Its clear to see, that the Toronto bound bodies have been told they wont wear the shirt again, quite some weeks ago,in fact months ago for some.
Whatever is spouted out now is old news. The clubs dealt with all the sinister attacks professionally.Something PR still sadley misses and will be his downfall as what goes around, comes around.

| ...only the ones clearly not still committed to our cause. One or two Toronto bound bodies will still give 100%, I reckon the coaching team have already made up their own minds about who will not be giving 100%.
Anyway, why not announce them all at once, they all signed weeks/months ago anyway. Why? Because Mr Morals and Integrity still reckons he can destabilise the club.

| Unfortunately the whole issue is severely tarnishing Paul Rowley's legacy at the club.
Signing school boy forms for the club aged 15, rising through the colts / academy systems, making his first team debut shortly after his 17th Birthday, being made Leigh RLFCs youngest club captain at 20, promoted through roles within the coaching system to Head Coach, winning back to back Championship titles for the club.
How utterly disappointing.

3 Leigh players so far officially I think. There are more to come though.
Plus obviously Mr Morals and Simon Finnegan on the coaching side.
Good luck to Dicko by the way. Again it seems like a lack of ambition to me but he gave his all for the club so I wish him well.

Should his picture be removed from the wall of the Centurions Pub - that wall is for Legends.

So was it a lack of ambition for him to come and play for Leigh in the Championship after playing SL with St Helens and Salford?

Ivan, I understand these players wanting to go on the Toronto adventure with PR,especially the single ones, and let's face I think they won't be missed as we have better players now in the Squad and if we get to SL next year we will want better players still,I think some of these lads realise their future at Leigh was going to be limited anyway. As for Rowls picture being removed from the side of the Centurion Pub?I would say leave it as it is.Murphy did exactly the same thing after Wembley in 1971 when he took over at Warrington.

If he had chosen to come to Leigh at a time when he still could have had any number of SL teams in for him then yes it would have been, but that didn't seem to be the case.
IMO Dixon would have no problem getting into any team in the Championship but has chosen to take the money and go down to steamroller Champ 1 with the Wolfpack. That goes for Kay too and Jonny Pownall could have found a Championship place I am sure although maybe not at the top end.
It seems a waste to have top Championship players like Dixon and Kay putting 70 points on University of Gloucester All Golds in front of 100 fans when they should be banging on the door of SL. Kay in particular looked like a SL player this time last year and has been a shadow of himself in 2016 having clearly known he was off to League 1 next season.
A lot of the Champ 1 sides like Oxford, Hemel and South Wales Scorpions are of a similar standard to the better amateur sides. I would back Leigh Miners against any of them. It is going to be a massacre when they come up against the likes of Craig Hall, Liam Kay, Andrew Dixon, Gary Wheeler and James Laithwaite.

When we signed him, he was about to sign on loan at Halifax for the season.

| When you signed him he was on a months long loan with Halifax. He could have gone to other super league clubs but needed to stay in the North West as he was doing his degree at Liverpool. I believe he has a role on the conditioning side with Toronto so this will enable him to gain the practical experience for his career after rugby league. As most people have alluded to the Toronto side will probably only be in Championship 1 for 12 months, and the intention is for them to get to Super League

| Seems fans mean nothing to some former coaches. Well that's all we are' fans. That's the reason I'll be a Leyther for the rest of my life. PR clearly isn't.
