Very interesting and insightful article on DB and an equally insightful article by Ryan........and I have no words to describe those 'fans'.

Ryan is brilliant to watch. Every Leyther and RL fan knows that.I like all of our fans are glad he is here.

The feature on Derek B is very interesting a very Frank insight to his life ,and a couple of very good pics of him.The feature on Ryan really shocked me,I really can't understand any fans giving him a hard time,the lad is not only a FINE player ,but he is a credit to his Family,and a great Ambassador for the Club,I for one love watching him play,he always finds time to speak to the fans,and I feel we miss him when he is not in the team.My message for young Ryan is ,get better soon and score plenty tries this season.

He just needs to get fit soon and be himself. Whilst he might not have been quite at his best at the end of last season - and not many were - there is no doubting his skill, commitment and passion for the club and its fans.

I too was very disappointed to hear that some were having a pop at him. We were all disappointed at the way things panned out, but each and every one of those players who crossed the touchline had/have my utmost respect.

There's a thing on Facebook about the twelve best tries of Christmas and sure enough Ryan's assist in the CC game at Wakefield is right in there. I posted that the boo boys need to look at it and all the other clips of Ryan's great season for Leigh Centurions and maybe reconsider their behaviour that day. I have two initial feelings about Ryan's piece. The first is that he comes across as being very hurt by the end of season games and the way he was treated but also I thought the piece a bit naïve. Then I remember how young this fantastic talent is and what (as Alan says) a great ambassador for this club. I hope he doesn't dwell too much on what happened and comes back and shuts the idiots up.

What exactly was Ryan on about? Please don't refer me to RL World, I don't want to have to buy it just for this

Is it Patrick or Patricia?Anyway apparently the wonderful Leigh fans gave Ryan a hard time during the Fax game giving him verbal abuse, then when his name was announced before the Bradford game some Leigh fans booed,which naturally upset the lad,and you Leigh fans say how you are the best in the League.

Very interesting article by Derek, a good insight into his life. Glad to read that he's learnt from last time he was involve and isn't going to let the circumstances which lead to him leaving the club last time arise again. Also very good to read that there is a plan for when we get to SL, that the money being put in is an investment to get the club to a level in SL where it can be sustainable. We really are lucky to have him involved, hopefully if we make it to SL it'll inspire other business men from Halifax, Cumbria, Dewsbury or any other Championship club town to think "I could do that" and attract some more money to The Championship & improve standard of British Rugby League.

Disappointed with the Ryan's article several ways. Obviously disappointing a few idiots booing him, we're all disappointed when the team has a bad game but times however you feel by 10 and I'm sure it'll still come nowhere near how the players feel. Especially bad to boo before he's even come on the pitch at the next game! Also disappointed though that with all the good things going on at the club he's written two whole pages complaining about less than a hand full of "fans". It must be unpleasant but he must know that the vast majority of fans are behind him. Understand where he's coming from being frustrated with fans believing every bull s*** rumour about him though. It frustrates me at times. One or two Leeds/Wire/Salford/whoever this month's rubbish rumour is about go on a forum or facebook & say "Wouldn't mind us signing Brierley" and some people seem to interpret that as Ryan saying he's desperate to leave. Learnt a long time ago to ignore all the rubbish about him leaving, it always turns out to be rubbish.

I think if Ryan believes any sportsman has 100% fan support 100% of the time he is being naïve at best, in my time I have heard folk having a go at Woody, Murphy and Turley amongst others. The time to get concerned is when 2500 North standers turn on him and not the 25
Anyway new season and new start, so lets get behind 1-17 week in week out and trust they will react positively, like it was for most of the past 2 years
