| What are your thoughts on Brierley switching to Full Back ?
More time on the ball , more space, working deeper off the block runners etc etc
Ive watched Mcnally a few times and i do think he is a genuinely decent player but brierley seems to be an out and out support player and in the days of moving players further back he seems to be right for the job.
The games ive wacthed i cant honestly comment on the defence as they where one sided drubbings
Is it an option ?

| LOL don't be daft McNally is superb at Full Back and the best support player at the club My take on Ryan is he's being wasted putting the ball in the scrum I find it Bizzare that our best strike weapon is being used this way I would have Ryan away from the scrum recievin the ball he would be great running at the opposition on a one to one

| Always thought he suits FB more than half back. Think if we got up to SL and we're lucky enough to get a decent half back then Ryan would probably switch to Fullback.

He isn't a better fullback than McNally............if he was don't you think Rowley would be playing him there.
Only slightly off topic I think Reynolds could play in the next game.

I think Ryan is more of a creator than support (though he is very good at supporting) and Greg has been excelent at FB.

For Ryan or Riddy ? For me we need pace against Sheffield and as it is a must win game I think Riddy would be the one to drop out.

| I agree, Ryan & Reynolds certainly for Sheffield; Ridyard isn't performing as he can.

| I wouldn't have Brierley at FB. Defensively he's not good enough or strong enough for the middle. That's why he goes to the edges when we're defending.

Seems Hopkins and Hock might be available for the Sheffield game too. Think Haggerty might be suspended so with Goulden back too I wonder if Sarsfield will get a chance.

Placing your 6 & 7 out wide is a defensive structure of a team or are you saying Brierley is weak defensively and he is put out wide to keep him out of the way ?
If it is the latter then no wonder he has gone missing v SL opposition and you would be better off cashing in ASAP
Personally the half backs have gone missing in the tougher games and the extra depth of someone like Ryan would have suited him and the team against quicker defences.
left and right sided halves with brierley out the back would be good to see.
As for Mcnally, as ive said hes a good lad but if he was that good he would have been snapped up by an SL club long ago
