Seems like very strange timing just before the business end of the season and days after a big win against Bradford. Doubt they have anybody lined up. Paul Cooke as player/coach?

Didn't see that one coming!

| Big gamble that. Just shows the pressure to make the Top 4 and get the 500 grand for doing so. They simply have to beat us at our place - should be tasty and I will actually be there for once!

| Getting rid of Hay is not a suprise, but the timing certainly is.
It's OK being unbeaten (until Sunday) away from home, but the home performances have been absolutely dire, even when we beat Worky 72-0, it was boring and passionless. Crowds have dwindled due to the show being poor.
We should have got rid earlier IMHO, but to let him go with three games left seems daft to me, last thing we need is turmoil when we need to win two of those games to have a chance at getting the money.
One positive from this is that there are no longer any traces of Poskitt and Nahaboo left at the club.
Onwards and upwards (hopefully).

| That's a very curt statement from Fev.

Taylo, who usually pens the media releases (not those cringeworthy Feisal ones from last year though) got married at the weekend and is no doubt sunning himself somewhere on his honeymoon.
This one looks straight from the chairman's no nonsense mouth.

Any idea who might be lined up to take over?

I'd guess at Cookey, Carvel and Danny Evans to get us through the last three games. After that our season is over and we either have the cash to go full time or we don't. I'd be looking to get a new coach in at that stage. He'll be able to use the 7 games of which ever 8 we stumble into to see who he wants for next year and recruit as required.
One thing is certain, after two years of messing about trying to replace Powell, we need to get it right this time, or we'll be out of the reckoning for a generation.

| Chairman quoted as saying they couldn't agree on the reasons for 'recent results'. I too am struggling to find an explanation for how Fev have won four of their last five!
Seriously though, he undoubtedly means the Dewsbury reverse and their astonishingly poor home form. If their home results (won 4 out of 10) had been anything like their away ones, (won 9 out of 9 - best beware next Sunday!) they would be in a very strong position.
N.B. They also lost to us on 'neutral territory' in the Summer Bash.

Well they still don't have to beat us.Predictions made were based on them losing to the Bulls. The Rams game just cancelled that out. Probably the most interesting fixture this weekend will be the Broncos at the Rams,a must win game for the Broncos.

| Well they signed Paul Cook a couple of weeks ago he could be a favourite as well, my sources tell me that Glenn Morrison (Dews coach) is destined for a SL job soon.
The merry go round continues to turn.
