| How good is he ? Honestly speaking and I am aware he has built up quite a fan base amongst the female contingent of our support.
For me he is turning into a liability who will start to cost us games. He appears to be an ill disciplined prop who readilly concedes penalties, easilly distracted and does not looked switched on to me. I think he needs to look at Oliver Wilkes and Fui Fui and learn how to play a more channelled, a more disciplined game. He all to easily gets sucked in to the silly stuff that other players can rise above,
Where would you rate him in effectiveness against Wilkes, Emmit, Spencer, Hopkins Fui etc ?
Is he a Super League standard prop or are there better options for us to explore ? Both in this seasons squad and beyond ?
My opinion is he is currently falling short of the mark in a number of criterias.

| He is still very young in the prop forward club, potentially he is going to be a very good prop forward but does have a tendency to lose his discipline. The likes of Wilkes & Fui will bring him on in leaps & bounds if he chooses to learn which I hope he does. Won't play every week but an essential part of the squad for many years to come hopefully.

| He isn't as good as those named but I wouldn't expect him to be. He's the youngest player featuring regularly in our squad and is definitely one for the future. I'd say he has the potential to be better than all of those named (bar Fui) but he needs to keep his cool better. He's only just turned 23, his defence is brutal and his awareness at the line is great. Agree with you that he needs to learn more from the likes of Emmitt and less off the likes of Barlow but he looks like a real raw talent to me. He is an aggressive sod but no worse than the likes of Bateman or McIlorum at the pies and I think that can add to his game instead of being a negative. He seems like a player that will need a lot of coaching but I think Rowley is the man to do so.

| For me, Jamie undoubtedly has great potential, with excellent physique, fitness and ability. But someone really needs to get his head sorted, sooner rather than later. Like one or two other talented players in our squad, he is embarrassingly easily provoked.

| I think he's a fantastic player, one of our best & only set to get better with age. Aggressive in his style of play but that's no bad thing. Ready & willing to give someone a crack back after they have a go at him (though to be fair who in this team isn't) but has this reputation meaning he gets targeted by other teams, which (like any player) he responds to which increases his reputation meaning he gets targeted more and so on.

| Acton was improving his discipline, which then led to his actual game improving (fancy that?), earlier in the season, but just recently he's lost it again.
Yeah, if someone belts you, it's instinctive to belt them back in the heat of the moment, so we're never going to get away from that. But what some of our lads have to learn to do is be more clever mentally. Stay in control when someone is having a pop. Get stuck in even harder when the next tackle presents itself.
But as soon as you let an opponent get under your skin, you can lose all focus and then it often affects your peformance.
If some of the Leigh lads want to go out onto that pitch and turn it into a scrap then, as fans, we're being ripped off. We want to see hard, fair, honest rugby league. Men against men respecting each other. We don't want to see cowards and wind-up merchants that take cheap shots and often turn a match into something completely different to the sport we love.
Yeah, I know RL is massively physical (it's mainly [iwhy[/i we all love it) and it's totally understandable that fights will break out. But all this other rubbish needs to be kept at a minimum. Unfortunately for Leigh at the minute, we have too many players that are [igoing to war[/i instead of playing rugby and entertaining the fans.
And for what it's worth, Acton got a pummeling yesterday (I was right in front of the "action"icon_wink.gif, so maybe he might realise he's not the hardest man in RL after all.

| Another point. Fuifui Moimoi has to deal with 3+ man tackles on pretty much every drive he makes - and very often, he gets hit with high shots.
What does the big fella do?
He gets on with it.

Glad to hear it.
Walker was doing OK for us but just too many more on-form props, rugby-wise, where in his way.
Is he beHAVEing?
